Shaun Morgan of Seether joins Joshua Toomey and the Talk Toomey podcast this week. Shaun discusses the 20th anniversary of Disclaimer and the 3 album set that is being released January 20th. Shaun and Joshua start the chat with Shaun's move to Nashville and sitting in on writing sessions, neighbors giving up the dream and his confidence writing with others. He talks about his hate for local humor at comedy shows and then gets into his review of the Mewes show and talks about the View Askew Universe.  The guys dive into what Tim "Ripper" Owens and Robb Flynn had to say about the Pantera celebration. Chris gives a quick review of the Metallica Charity concert. Toomey and Akin also hit on some Lamb of God news, Deftones recording a new album and Toomey tells a story of hanging with Stephen Carpenter. Also rumors of Limp Bizkit in the studio enter the discussion. Joshua and Chris also pull the curtain back and talk about interviewing character bands. The guys finish the Christmas episode with some favorite Christmas movie talk and dive into the career of Macaulay Culkin.

The weekly saga of As The Pantera Turns continues this week on Talk Toomey. Toomey and Akin discuss Rex Brown missing shows already, Pantera being announced on the summer festival circuit and The Illegals being a minor league team for the band. They guys also talk about Dino Cazares speaking on the new singer and touring in a van. Once again tour struggles are on the table with Anthrax backing out of Bloodstock. They then hit on the upcoming Chimaira shows in Cleveland and debate where Chimaira would be if they put out a new album and did a full tour. They finish with some recommendations and football talk.

Riki Rachtman returns to the Talk Toomey podcast this week to discuss his upcoming One Foot In The Gutter tour. Riki and Joshua talk about wearing the t-shirt of the band you are seeing, his upcoming appearance on the Headbangers Boat and doing a SiriusXM Takeover for Jose. Riki speaks on going on tour after years of hearing his band guy friends telling stories. He also answers the question of who was a guest of Headbangers Ball that people don't talk about that he is proud of. He recalls singing Stone Cold Crazy with Metallica and going to Texas Stadium with Pantera. Carson Pace of The Callous Daoboys joined the Talk Toomey podcast from the road. Carson is on the show to discuss their latest album, Celebrity Therapist. Levi Benton of Miss May I joins Joshua Toomey and the Talk Toomey podcast this week to discuss the new album, Curse of Existence.  Levi and Joshua talk about how there aren't any ballads on this, it's all straight bangers! Levin speaks on working with Will Putney and him getting out of the dumps to write a great Miss May I record. Jelly Roll joins the Talk Toomey Podcast this week to discuss everything going on in his world. Jelly Roll and Toomey talk about his recent Grand Ole Opry debut, his weight loss goals and getting up with Shinedown for Simple Man. The guys also talk about the song Save Me and how we always wants to evoke emotion when he writes. Sam Loeffler of Chevelle joins Throwback Throwdown with Toomey. Sam joins the show to discuss "Niratias" and coming up with artwork and weird shit with his brother. Sam talks about playing in a band with his brother and being on the same page with Pete.  Says they are two people sharing one brain when it comes to Chevelle. Sam tells the story of his brother in law replacing their other brother in the band years ago. He also gives us some concert memories from Chicago, talks touring with Type O Negative and Peter Steele being overly kind when their trailer and gear was stolen.Up next, Brittney Slayes of Unleash The Archers joins the program. Brittney is on to discuss touring post pandemic, streaming on Twitch and meeting fans in person from  online.  She also talks about some Halloween memories and the changes she has seen in the music business in the last 15 years.

Legend Alert!! Page Hamilton of Helmet joins the Talk Toomey podcast. Page and I discuss touring and not touring through Covid. Missing Helmet during the breakup in the late 90s. His move to LA and seeing the movie locations around town. He brought up (not me) his influence on Pantera. Page talks about the origin of the Helmet sound. We also discuss their upcoming live album, CBGBs and The Judgement Night soundtrack.

Elijah Witt of Cane Hill joins the Talk Toomey Podcast this week. Elijah and I talk about the success of Cane Hill being off a label and the creative freedom it has given the band. We talk about the writing process of the band and his love of longer songs. Elijah discusses the huge bass tone the band has a the importance of bass players. We also talk some New Orleans metal history, Nu Metal and Deloreans. I start the episode recapping my Knotfest Iowa trip. This is a good one.

Joe Cotela of Ded joins the Talk Toomey Podcast. Joe and Joshua discuss the latest single "Kill Beautiful Things" and the making of the video. This was recorded around the time of the Nevermind album cover lawsuit and the guys discuss the merits of the case. Joe also talks about how much image is apart of Ded, the upcoming In This Moment tour and touring through a pandemic. Scott Ian Lewis of Carnifex returns to the Talk Toomey Podcast to discuss the latest album, Graveside Confessions. Scott also talks about the re-records they did for the album and having fun digging back into the old tunes. We go over their Korn cover and the influence that Nu Metal has had on the Deathcore Scene. Carnifex is one of the few bands that has completed tours since the country has started to open back up and he tells us about record attendance and merch sales. He also talks about his writing process and his insane notebooks. Overall, great time with Scott.

Dee Snider returns to Talk Toomey to discuss his latest Jamey Jasta produced solo effort, "Leave a Scar". Dee is excited for his 2nd record with Jasta and feels he has more to say this time around. Dee talks about wanting Corpsegrinder on the record and singing onstage with Attack Attack!. He also discusses selling off his past catalog, how Sebastian Bach should do an album like this and how singers benefit from being the voice of the band. He finishes off with a great Phil Anselmo story.

Mike Hranica of The Devil Wears Prada joins the Talk Toomey Podcast. Mike and I talk about the latest EP "ZII" and also take a look back at "The Act".  Mike discusses touring pre-pandemic and what he has done throughout the shutdown. We go over how "ZII" was made and how the band works spread throughout the country. We take a trip down memory lane with their early days of bright tee shirts and the "Stay Fly" cover. Mike and I finish off with some hockey talk and my adventures with the Tampa Bay Lightning!

K.K. Downing of KK's Priest joins the Talk Toomey podcast this week. K.K. is on to discuss "Sermons of the Sinner". We talk about the album being a love letter to the fans. K.K. let's us know how the album came together and the writing process of these new tunes. K.K. talks about his departure from Judas Priest and how he was willing to do a final tour with the band.
