We've got another great episode coming your way this fine Saturday morning! If you're new to the show, earlier in the season Joel Lenius hopped on the show to highlight The Junior Oilers Program, and that's exactly what he did again for this weeks episode.  We quickly touched on the Junior Oilers Program, then dove into the Rogers Place Take Over Series as Joel himself will be coaching Team White for this event which will be taking place on January 26th.  We then heard from Alister Matthew, Team Manager. Paige Smith Assistant Captain of Team White, and then finished with Team White Captain, Layla Matthew to share their experiences with the program, and what this event means to them.

We are back with another edition of The Hockey Edmonton Show! This week, we shed some light on the 61st Edmonton Minor Hockey Week brought to you by Quickcard!  Kylee Quinn, Marketing and Communications director from Hockey Edmonton stopped by to discuss all sorts of stories regarding this tournament.  Lyle Best was also too busy to join the show, so we heard from VP of Business & Development at Quickcard, Chris Biddeson stopped by to share Quickcard's involvement for this years tournament!  All that discussed and much more on this weeks edition of The Hockey Edmonton Show!

We are back with our first show of the year! Today on The Hockey Edmonton Show we recap a good chunk of our episodes throughout the season thus far.  At the begining of the show, we caught up over the break, touched on some World Juniors right before we dove into today's topics!  Being a supportive parent, handling conflict and managing injuries were all things we revisited on today's show!  We then finished by teeing up the 61st Minor Hockey Week right here in Edmonton.  All that and much more on the first show of the year.

And no better way to do that then talk to Brad Butterfield, President of South West Zone Minor Hockey and Dustin Moore from Central Alberta Outreach Centre and one of the stars of the Oh Deer Podcast! Both Brad and Dustin shared what there organizations are doing to give back to the community. In today's episode, we heard from Barry Medori, Manager of Coach Mentorship.  He joined the show to discuss all aspects of developing as an athlete and as a person off the ice. He told us his story and how he got to the position he's currently at, what his position all entails, and shared some very good and wise words a long the way.

In this weeks episode here on The Hockey Edmonton Show, we heard from former professional ice hockey goaltender and LGBT+ advocate, Brock McGillis.  Brock hopped on the show to share his story, the struggles of coming out, where life has taken him since he's come out, and what he's been busy doing for the last 8 years.  He also shed some light on 'The Culture Shift tour' as he'll be speaking to teams in Edmonton in just a few weeks.  Brock's story is truly inspirational, and we were honoured to have him on our show.

This weeks episode of The Hockey Edmonton Show sees of the usual suspects, YouTube Trev and Jeremy Haluschak.  This weeks episode consists of safety in hockey. The measures Hockey Edmonton takes, what they're doing to improve safety and shed some light on the 'Team Safety Person,' their roles and how to handle safety in the game of hockey.

It's week 9 of The Hockey Edmonton Show coming your way this fine Saturday morning. This weeks episode is a little more serious than previous ones. Today's episode focused on managing conflict and concerns within minor hockey in Alberta.  We we're joined by Carlia Schwab, Manager of EDI and Safe Sport Hockey Alberta. To address the differences between bullying, abuse, and maltreatment. She shed some life on what Hockey Edmonton is doing to ensure participants are safe and how we can identify suspected bullying, abuse, or maltreatment.  Jeremy finished the show with his thoughts and where to go if you would like to report an issue.

We discussed the importance of how to be a good coach in hockey, the details of coaching clinics and what they all entail.  And we were joined by Stephen Pattison, manager of coach development in hockey Alberta to shed some light on all things coaching in minor hockey, from the elite level to commutiny level. Patti touched on a wide range of talking points on minor hockey in Alberta.  We finished the show with how to register into a coaching clinic and when the deadline is. YouTube Trev and Jeremy Haluschak are back with another episode of The Hockey Edmonton Show!  This weeks episode focused on the community programs in Hockey Edmonton!  Jeremy shed some light on how many community programs there are within Hockey Edmonton, the flexibility of the programs, and the levels that you can play in.  All this was discussed before we heard from, Tyler Hennessy, KC North Parish President. He shed some light on his organization.  After Tyler, we heard from Marc Aubee, KC Sabres President. He provided all sorts of information with his organization as well.  We finished off the show with how to register and where you can show your support!
