🗣 My quick chat with Black Thought

I have his “Good Morning” in heavy rotation, so I rang up Philly legend Black Thought to discuss the new song (Swizz Beatz, Pusha T and Killer Mike are also featured). It’s a quick bit of audio (press play above), but we talked about Thought becoming more vulnerable and personal in his music, and his upcoming album, Streams Of Thought Vol. 3: Cane and Able (Passyunk/Republic) — it’s due Sept 18. Mr. Trotter also makes it clear that not only will there be another Roots album, his Streams Of Thought Vol. 4 is already done, and includes an iconic cast of guests. Check out “Morning” ⬇️top billin’ ⬇️mood:watch out now: I concur ⤴️ Yachty has heat on his latest album, and the Mike Will Made It-produced “Pardon Me” is a true gem. You hear Future with the whistle flow? It’s not too late to get familiar 👇🏽Big Sean heightens anticipation for his Detroit 2 with this hometown-heavy video preview of “Don Life.” The final song will also feature Lil Wayne. Album finally drops this Friday ↕🗝⇟No more “YBN”: Cordae connects with fellow new-gen leader Roddy Ricch for “Gifted,” an excellent contender for one of hip-hop’s best songs of 2020.
