VanHerck, USAF (Ret.) is the former Commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) — responsible for the defense and security of the United States and Canada. A command pilot with over 4,000 flight hours in the F-15, F-35, B-1B, and B-2 Spirit stealth bomber, General VanHerck has led at every level — from squadron to four-star command — including the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center and the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. Today, as Founder of Glen VanHerck Advisors, LLC, he advises organizations on strategy, AI/ML integration, homeland defense, and crisis leadership. A Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, he continues shaping national strategy through his advocacy for “Golden Dome” — a Manhattan Project-level initiative to secure the homeland from evolving threats, including drones and hypersonic weapons.
