Used to be in bands. Now I'm old. If anyone wants any bass-playing or drumming or guitars recording for some online collaboration just get in touch!

Why listen

Lazlo Woodbine is less a talk show than a tiny time capsule of old indie-band recordings, demos, and unfinished instrumentals. Each short track comes with a casual note from the musician about where it came from, from early 90s Garbo Talks sessions to bare-bones ideas offered up for collaboration. It is best for listeners who like obscure DIY music, old band lore, and rough-edged archive finds.

How would it feel

This was a track recorded in the early 90's, we were called Garbo Talks back then and we were 17 or 18 years old. Good times.

Inside of you

Recorded in 90 or 91 in Manchester at the studios in the railway arch... can't remember it's name, "Inside Of You" was the lead track from our EP called Bong Bong Biddley Bong and we were Garbo Talks. Just remember the guy called Royston who was the vegetarian weirdo engineer, the other guy called Owdoo (or maybe it was spelt Audoo) and John Delf Briggsy took 26 takes for the second line of his solo... we thought the session would never end.

Indie day

Garbo Talks, the band who never made it... but had fun trying! 167 gigs in one year. The stuff of legends.

musak too

Ok, so this was actually a warm up exercise I came up with years ago, but I never made a full song or wrote any words for it... So feel free to contact me if you want to do something with it or you want the tracks separated!

musak

This was originally a song but we never recorded it, so now I've made an instrumental out of it. As I hate my voice I've refrained from subjecting you to the song in it's entirety, I've left out the bridge and chorus and left it just as the bare bones... If anyone has the urge to finish it off just let me know! I can split the tracks if you want... Hope you like it.
