Rebekah Terry·31 episodes
Healing Experiences Aren't Linear. My sister came up with this title as we were discussing that healing doesn't move in one direction. Sometimes you will feel like you are moving backwards, spiraling like a rollercoaster, but that's the beauty of life. We circle back to the lessons we have previously learned and the emotions we thought we had already worked through, in order to see them from a different angle. The triggers that once owned us, no longer have any power. This podcast is a judge-free, safe place for those who wish to share their struggles
Why listen
H.E.A.L. is a personal, plainspoken show about the messy middle of healing, where progress can look like sobriety, parenting better, naming old patterns, or finally setting a boundary. Rebekah Terry mostly speaks directly from lived experience, with occasional guests, so the listening experience feels intimate and reflective rather than clinical. It is a good fit for listeners who want relatable mental health and self-growth conversations from someone still doing the work in real time.

Growing up in the ’90s, a lot of girls were taught to be polite before they were taught to be safe. Attention from older men was normalized, boundaries were blurred, and discomfort was often dismissed as “just how things were.”In this episode, the subtle and not-so-subtle ways grooming culture showed up in my life during that era — through relationships, family dynamics, and the pressure to stay quiet. We talk about what it means to look back with adult eyes, relearn consent and boundaries, and finally understand that “being nice” should never come at the expense of your safety. This conversation is about unlearning, healing, and finding your voice — especially if you were never taught that you were allowed to say no.
