Extent V.I.P Recordings Podcast Episode 7 / Mixed By Antagonist The Extent recordings group are back again with a heavy duty dark industrial rolling underground drum&bass podcast mix ,episode7, featuring just one of our fresh artist to be signed to the vip group of Extent. In this episode Antagonist is bringing some serious darkness to the table including his forthcoming tracks, soon to be released on Extent vip among other artist within the group . Antagonist Hailing from Manchester UK and proud, Antagonist has been involved in music since a young age (now 22), first teaching himself to beatmatch on belt drive turntables at the age of 15 he got into music the proper way, for the love of the turntable culture. After mixing through several genres of music, being involved in pirate radio stations and even running his own station at 16/17 , he felt the need to progress a lot further from the music being not just a hobby too him. Although Antagonist didn't start out his career with drum&bass music,he soon fell in love with the culture and the sound, it was fresh and unique to his ears. Antagonist has been djing at club level for 5years, playing under several alias at various venues , festivals, parties across cities in the north of the UK. Playing at well known & established events and venues such as Hit&Run, Fac251, Sankeys, Custard Factory (B'ham), Beaverworks (Leeds), Pandemik to name a few. However, in the past 2years Antagonist has been focusing his attention to writing his own music,focusing on his own sound and industrial vibe with his music, keeping as busy in the studio as he can! The Extent recordings group are back with a fresh new podcast and this time in the mix we have Dj Spindall from one of Londons finest underground radio stations, Rude fm. In this months feature Spindall is dropping some very big dubs forthcoming from Extent & Extent V.I.P and many more including one of his latest collabs with Kalm witch is track 01 in the tracklist (Kalm & Spindall: Streams) this track will be released on Extent V.I.P along with another track that we will reveal very soon, so keep your eyes and ears open for when these tracks are released in all good stores. For those that are not familiar with DJ Spindall, below we have added his bio about his journey through the Drum&Bass scene as a dj and producer. Dj Spindall is a london based drum n bass DJ specialising in the deeper side of the dnb spectrum. He started out at the tender age of 13 back in 1995 mixing jungle, drum n bass. He got his first play out aged 15 in 1997 at cambridge’s Junction for a night called ”Rubber soul”, which was run by pete who runs the legendary Warning event @ the same venue. He switched to Garage music in 1998 after constant requests to play at parties and the opportunity to secure a residancy at a successful U18 event called ”Pulse” (later Rhythm Nation). This led to a show on Mac fm (voted best uk garage station at the garage awards in 1999 & 2000) amongst others and play outs at massive events such as ”Exposure” & ”Underground explosion” @ the Collosseum (vauxhall). After a 4 yr break from DJing spindall returned to drum n bass in 2005 and secured radio shows on icecold fm & Lifefm.co.uk b4 later moving to current station Rude FM.com in Nov’ 2006. Since his return to Dj-ing Spindall has played for promoters such as, Moondance, History of Dance, Son of Dance,Knowledge magazines ”Bar knowledge”, Essence of chi and many others. 2008 saw Spindall start up his own night (Nurtured Beatz) as well co producing his first tracks with up n coming producer Diamond Eye… now 2011-2012 Spindall is working on some promising projects to date with Kalm who is also making serious moves within in the scene and getting signed up along with Spindall to some respectable labels with releases out in major stores...and getting bookings all over the country including one of Londons big nights Intent to supply / Broken audio including his own night Nutured Beatz and many more. Extent V.I.P Recordings podcast Vol. 4 Feat: Mauoq Mauoq is an Italian Dnb producer based in London. Mauoq started Dj’ing House and Techno at student parties back in the early 90s. Later in the decade he discovered Drum & Bass through the likes of Roni Size, Goldie and Adam F to name just a few and from then onwards he was completely hooked. He contributed to the success of the Dnb sound in Rome by playing at all major parties and clubs then a few years later he started fiddling with music software’s like Rebirth and basic midi sequencers, simply driven by a strong need of being able to create the music he loved so much. Soon after he moved to Uk and after many years practicing his production skills he landed his first commercial release at the beginning of 2011, a Dnb remix on Dub/World label Green Queen Music , His first single EP Aerosolid /Free the Past came out shortly after on his own Mauoq Music and it has gained strong support from labels such as Different, Santorin, Lifestyle and many more. Now Mauoq has releases lined up for the next few months on Extent VIP Recordings and Absys Records. On the Dj side he has recently performed at the Sun and Bass Festival and variouse other dance’s before hand and is looking to play and enjoy many more to come word wide. Mauoq also runs his own monthly podcast where he pushes the best and freshest Dnb around at the moment. The Extent V.I.P Recordings are proud to announce the all new podcast featuring the mighy VRH aka Implant VRH aka Implant is one of the Extent Recordings Group’s newest signings to be signed and we are pleased that we came to discover this very talented producer that hails and was born in Split, Croatia. From the young age of 16 VRH started experimenting with some Hip-Hop, IDM and Dub projects and as time went on he discovered Drum & Bass and once working his way into the scene, he got noticed for his input and started getting gigs. His first gig that was held at Club Koka, He met VJ Xpload which then formed into the Loopjunkies, ongoing to be resident’s at Club Koka with a series of DNB parties called “Karantena” where they had guests from all over world. They are also the creators of DNB summer festival called (Burning the beach). Since then VRH has gone onto releasing some great music on some great labels such as TDP, Obscene, Melting Pot, Nightmare recordings ,Black Hoe, Wayside and real soon the Extent recordings group. Nowadays he is occupied with several projects such as “Dom Lounge” a free party program for new DJs and producers in club “Kocka” This is how the VRH was formed… In his own words…. " A man from the shadows with moustaches, three teeth missing and a dragon tattoo, looking to fight lizards and zombies with his fists." VRH is serious news to anybody out there and here you can hear his sound that he’s creating and contributing towards the scene!
