Welcome to Courageous Leadership with Virginia Prodan #Podcast. Today - Dr. John Reese - CEO of Quanta - is our guest Dr. John E. Reese, III grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of SC, in 1984, where he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force before attending dental school. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the Medical University of SC in 1988, after which he had a 4- year assignment as a staff general dentist in one of the largest teaching hospitals in the US Air Force. There he received extensive training in all specialty areas of dentistry, including frequent operating room training. In 1992, he started a health centered private practice in Rock Hill, SC where he focused on comprehensive general and cosmetic dentistry, including full mouth reconstruction and TMJ therapy.  In 2001, he started Dental Access Carolina, LLC where he used his skills to provide high quality comprehensive dentistry to economically disadvantaged children on site at their schools in mobile clinics he designed. They currently operate in 15 counties in SC and treat almost 25,000 students each school year. They take a free enterprise approach to a public health problem where everyone wins, and where the highest quality care is provided to those who can least afford it. Because of the success of his program, it has been recognized nationally as the model for mobile dentistry by the Academy of General Dentistry. He now has a minority interest in the practice he started.   Dr. Reese also provides consulting advice on general practice management. In 2002, Dr. Reese began manufacturing and marketing mobile dental clinics and temporary dental offices which are sold and used internationally. In 2008, he created Dental Access Mobile Clinics, LLC as a separate entity and his clinics have also been used as adjunct teaching facilities by the Medical University of SC for their dental students, where he was an adjunct clinical instructor. Dr. Reese and his wife frequently volunteer with and provide significant financial support to organizations that provide dental and medical care to patients both here and abroad, and they teach clinical techniques to dentists around the world.  They also donate very generously to many conservative organizations. They are very actively engaged in helping organizations communicate their message to allow citizens to be involved in the decisions which affect their lives every day. Outside of his medical and dental entrepreneurial interests, he has a passion for preserving the fabric of the American society that he has enjoyed during his lifetime that made America the greatest country on earth. He and a group of innovators created the Quanta Enterprise Comms www.quantasure.com  which is the only commercially available secure communications

Today, I want to talk with you about something we all face — doubt. Because doubt is real. It creeps in during hard seasons, in quiet moments, or even right before we step into something great. You may be asking: Can God really use me? Do I have what it takes? Is faith enough in a broken culture like ours? And my answer to you is: YES. I’ve lived it. I faced not just doubt, but death — under a brutal dictatorship in Communist Romania. and even here in America under uncertain times. As a young attorney, when I chose to follow Christ and defend persecuted Christians, the government called me a threat. They sent an assassin to kill me. But God sent a mission — to transform me from a fearful woman to a bold voice for freedom. How did it happen? 💥 It started with one choice: To stop agreeing with doubt — and start trusting God more than I trusted my fear. If you want to move from doubt to faith — and from faith to courageous leadership — here are 3 practical steps you can take right now: 1️⃣ Start where you are — Faith doesn’t require perfection. It requires surrender. Bring your fears to God and say, “I’m willing.” 2️⃣ Feed your faith daily — Get in God’s Word. Listen to truth. Surround yourself with those who remind you who you are in Christ. 3️⃣ Step out — even when it’s uncomfortable — Courage grows when we act on what we believe. Every step of faith becomes a seed that changes you, your family, your business — and yes, even America. My friend — Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is choosing to move forward despite it. When you live that way, you don’t just change your life. You inspire others. You raise the next generation of courageous leaders — right from your home, your community, your workplace. So don’t let doubt hold you back another day. Silent or Silenced - Virginia Prodan  Throughout history, numerous individuals and groups have faced silencing by authoritarian regimes.   I know firsthand what it means to be silenced by your government, and still be courageous.  My name is Virginia Prodan.  I lived under a brutal socialist regime in #Romania. Growing up there courage wasn’t a choice—it was a necessity. I faced threats, danger, and even an assassin sent to silence me. As a young attorney in Romania under Nicolae Ceausescu's brutal communist regime, I had spent her entire life searching for the truth. When I finally found it in the pages of the most forbidden book in all of Romania, I accepted the divine call to defend fellow followers of Christ against unjust persecution in an otherwise ungodly land. My legal work was declared by the communist government as an act of treason.  For this act of treason, I was kidnapped, beaten, tortured, placed under house arrest, and came within seconds of being executed under the orders of Ceausescu himself.   But I discovered something priceless in that fire: a life built on Christ is unshakable. Michael Pack -Film producer & President of Palladium Pictures - is our guest.  Michael Pack, producer and director of The Last 600 Meters, is President of Manifold Productions, Inc., an independent film and television production company, which he founded in 1977.     Through Manifold Productions, Mr. Pack has written, directed, and produced numerous award-winning nationally broadcast documentaries as well as corporate and educational films. Mr. Pack is also the President of Palladium Pictures. His most recent film, Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words, a two-hour documentary, opened in movie theaters on January 31st, 2020 and was broadcast nationally via PBS on May 18th, 2020. The Washington Post called it “a marvel of filmmaking,” and the Washington Examiner said it is “magnificent and necessary.” Also, upcoming, The Last 600 Meters, tells the story of the 2004 battles of Najaf and Fallujah, the two biggest battles of the Iraq War. From 2003-2006, Mr. Pack served as Senior Vice President for Television Programming at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. In 2002, President Bush nominated and the Senate confirmed Mr. Pack to serve on the National Council on the Humanities, which oversees the National Endowment for the Humanities. He served from July 2002 to February 2005. From June 2020 to January 2021, Mr. Pack served as the first Senate-confirmed CEO of the US Agency for Global Media (USAGM), which oversees the government’s five international broadcasting networks: Voice of America, Office of Cuba Broadcasting, Radio Free Asia, Middle East Broadcasting Networks, and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Congressman Frank Wolf - our guest  Frank Wolf, served Virginia's 10th congressional district from 1981 to 2015 and is known for his work on human rights and the International Religious Freedom Act.         Frank Wolf is a dedicated champion of religious freedom and a cherished friend. I first met him in communist Romania while I was defending Christians and advocating for human rights. Frank, along with Christopher Smith, would visit Romania to discuss my legal cases and the challenges I faced with the communist government. They presented this information to expose the dictator to President Ronald Reagan and the world. After I arrived in America, I continued to work closely with Frank Wolf.    Frank Wolf       - Authored the International Religious Freedom Act of 1998     - Co-founded the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission.    - Was the first Wilson Chair in Religious Freedom at Baylor University.   The Frank R. Wolf International Religious Freedom Act is a 2016 U.S. law that amended the 1998 International Religious Freedom Act (IRFA) made advancing religious freedom a core part of U.S. foreign policy.    It strengthened U.S. efforts to combat religious persecution globally by improving diplomacy, training for foreign service officers, and requiring greater monitoring and reporting on religious freedom violations, including the establishment of a designated list for perpetrators of particularly severe violations.
