Do you keep it for yourself, or do you share it with someone else? In today's episode, Pastor Justin explores a simple but powerful truth from Hebrews 13:16. God cares about the little choices we make every day, especially when those choices involve generosity and putting others first. Kids will learn that sharing isn't just about snacks. Maybe your friend canceled plans, the pool was closed, or the weather ruined what you wanted to do. Hey Carpool Crew! Have you ever noticed your mom or dad doing a hundred things at once around the house? Dinner is cooking, laundry is piling up, the dog needs water, and everyone's stuff seems to be everywhere. The easy thing to do is grab a snack and disappear into your room. But what if you noticed a need and helped before anyone even asked? In today's episode, Pastor Justin shares a powerful lesson from the Apostle Paul and Galatians 6:9 about doing good even when no one notices. You'll discover why helping before you're asked is one of the most Jesus-like things a kid can do. Kids will learn: ⢠Why small acts of service matter to God ⢠How Jesus noticed needs and helped people ⢠Three simple ways to help around the house this week ⢠Why serving others without recognition builds character Today's challenge is simple: find one thing that needs to be done and do it before someone asks. Hey Carpool Crew! Brothers, sisters, and even best friends have a special way of getting on our nerves sometimes. They push our buttons, borrow our stuff, make messes, and occasionally drive us completely crazy. But what if those frustrating moments are actually opportunities to grow closer to Jesus? In today's episode, Pastor Justin shares a powerful lesson from Ephesians 4:32 and reminds us that one of the hardest places to practice our faith is at home. Whether it's a sibling who won't leave you alone or a friend who keeps making mistakes, Jesus calls us to respond with kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. You'll learn: ⢠Why the people closest to us can be the hardest to love ⢠What Paul taught the believers in Ephesus about kindness and forgiveness ⢠How Jesus' forgiveness changes the way we treat others ⢠Two simple ways to choose kindness when you're feeling frustrated Today's Key Verse: "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." Hey Carpool Crew! Who was Rahab, and why would God choose her to play such an important role in one of the Bible's most incredible stories? In Episode 1 of our five-part series on Rahab the Brave Believer, we travel to the ancient city of Jericho, one of the oldest fortified cities in the world. As Joshua prepares the Israelites to enter the Promised Land, two spies are sent into the city and find themselves at the home of an unexpected woman named Rahab. At first glance, Rahab seems like the last person anyone would expect God to use. She lived on the edge of society, carried a difficult reputation, and wasn't part of God's chosen people. Yet God saw something deeper. Join Pastor Justin as we discover how God often chooses people the world overlooks and why Rahab's story is still encouraging kids and families thousands of years later. Kids will learn: ⢠Who Rahab was and where she lived ⢠Why Jericho was such an important city ⢠Why the Israelite spies came to Rahab's house ⢠How God sees people differently than the world does ⢠Why no one is invisible to God Key Scriptures: Joshua 2:1-3 1 Samuel 16:7 Discussion Questions: Has there ever been a time you felt overlooked? What would change about your day tomorrow if you really believed God sees you right where you are? Rahab's story begins with a powerful reminder: God sees people others ignore. While the world often focuses on popularity, success, appearance, or status, God looks at the heart. The same God who saw Rahab in Jericho sees you today. This episode helps kids understand that they are known, valued, and loved by God, regardless of their mistakes, circumstances, or what others think about them. Hey Carpool Crew! Summer is finally here, and today Pastor Justin asks one of the most important questions anyone can ever answer: Who is Jesus to you? In this special summer kickoff episode, we look at a moment when Jesus asked His disciples what people were saying about Him. Everyone seemed to have an opinion. Some thought He was a prophet. Others thought He was someone else from the Bible. But Jesus wasn't interested in what everyone else thought. He asked a personal question: "Who do you say that I am?" That same question still matters today. Kids will learn that faith isn't about borrowing someone else's answer. It's about discovering who Jesus is for themselves. Whether you're spending summer with family, at camp, with friends, or just enjoying a break from school, this episode encourages listeners to spend time getting to know Jesus personally. Today's Bible Verse: Matthew 16:15 (CSB) Big Idea: You decide who Jesus is to you. What Kids Will Learn: ⢠Why Jesus asked His disciples who they believed He was ⢠Why everyone has to answer that question for themselves ⢠Simple ways to grow closer to Jesus this summer ⢠How faith becomes personal and real Summer Challenge: ⢠Start each morning by saying, "Hi, Jesus." ⢠Read one chapter from Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John each week. ⢠Be ready to tell others who Jesus is to you. Hey Carpool Crew, Kids have a short list of who counts. The friends they sit with at lunch. The kids on their team. The group at recess. Everybody else gets walked past. Today on Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin walks kids through Luke 10:36 and the story of the Good Samaritan. The point lands different for kids than they expect. A priest walked past. A temple worker walked past. The Samaritan, who nobody thought would help, stopped. He bandaged the man on the side of the road. He put him on his own donkey. He paid for his room at the inn and told the innkeeper, "If it costs more, I'll pay when I come back." Jesus' question lands on all of us. Which one was the neighbor? This Friday episode gives kids three real moves to try this weekend. The stop-and-check move. The helpful-without-being-asked move. The "ask Jesus who I keep walking past" move. About 5 minutes, kid-friendly, with a discussion question to land on before the weekend kicks in. Today's One Thing: Be a neighbor to whoever is right in front of you. Hey Carpool Crew, Most kids keep score. Not on purpose. It just happens. The sibling who keeps doing the thing that bugs them. The friend who hurt their feelings again. The kid at school who said something mean and they can still feel it days later. Each one gets added to a quiet list in their head. And the longer the list, the heavier it gets. Today on Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin walks kids through Matthew 18:22, where Peter walks up to Jesus and asks how many times he has to forgive somebody. Peter guesses seven. Jesus says seventy times seven. The point isn't the math. The point is stop counting. Forgiveness doesn't have a number on it. This episode gives kids three real forgiveness moves to try this week. The "Jesus, I'm letting it go" move. The one-breath move. The "I'm sorry" move. About 5 minutes, kid-friendly, and a discussion question for the whole family before they jump out of the car. Hey Carpool Crew! Most kids think prayer is something fancy. Quiet church voice. Hands folded. Eyes squeezed shut extra tight. Special words they're not sure they can pull off. So a lot of kids skip it because they're not sure they're doing it right. Today on Carpooling with Jesus, Pastor Justin walks kids through Luke 11:1, where Jesus' own friends asked Him, "Lord, teach us to pray." Jesus didn't hand them a complicated formula. He gave them a short, real, honest prayer we now call the Lord's Prayer. The point lands clean for kids. God is close. He's listening. You don't need fancy words to talk to Him. This episode gives kids three real prayer moves to try this week. The wake-up prayer. The middle-of-the-moment prayer. The two-sentence bedtime prayer. About 5 minutes, kid-friendly, with a discussion question to land on before they jump out of the car. Today's One Thing: You can talk to God any time, and He hears you. Hey Carpool Crew!Ā Today's episode is built on Luke 10:41. Martha is hustling to make everything perfect while her sister Mary just sits with Jesus. Martha gets frustrated and calls Jesus out, but Jesus reminds her that being with him matters more than working for him. One Thing to Remember: Be with Jesus before you work for Jesus. Three ways kids can practice this week: In the morning, take 30 seconds to say, "Jesus, here's my day. Stay with me in it." Pick one car ride this week to play a worship song instead of scrolling. Before bed, tell Jesus one thing about your day. Just one sentence. Family Discussion Question: When this week can our family slow down and just be with Jesus together? Hey Carpool Crew! Pastor Justin kicks off the week with a shout out to Harper in Maryvale, Tennessee, and a challenge for the whole carpool crew: make room for the kid no one else is making room for. Today's episode walks kids through Mark 10:14, when the disciples tried to block parents from bringing their kids to Jesus. Jesus stopped everything, called the kids over, and reminded everyone that they were never in the way. One Thing to Remember: Make room for the kid no one is making room for. Three things kids can do this week: Find one kid sitting alone at lunch and ask to sit with them. Say yes the first time a younger sibling wants to hang out. Look for the kid not playing at recess and invite them in. Family Discussion Question: Why was it important to Jesus to tell the disciples to let all the kids come to him? Hey Carpool Crew! Todayās bonus episode is all about something every kid deals with... hygiene. Brushing your teeth. Taking showers. Wearing clean clothes. Washing your hands. Yep, weāre going there. Hey Carpool Crew! In todayās episode, Pastor Justin shares the story from Luke chapter 17 where Jesus heals ten men with leprosy, but only one comes back to say thank you. All ten men experienced a miracle. All ten were healed. But only one stopped what he was doing, turned around, and thanked Jesus with a grateful heart. This episode teaches kids why gratitude matters and how easy it can be to rush through life without noticing all the good gifts God has given us. From family and food to friendship and help from others, Jesus invites us to slow down, notice blessings, and say thank you out loud. Kids will learn: Why only one healed man returned to thank Jesus How gratitude changes our attitude Why saying thank you matters to God and people Simple ways to practice thankfulness every day How to notice blessings we often overlook Scripture Referenced: Luke 17:15 (CSB) Todayās challenge: Before you go to bed tonight, think of one thing youāre thankful for and say it out loud. Then thank one person this week with your actual words, not just a quick wave or shrug. Special shoutouts to John Michael and Raleigh from Trussville, Alabama. Hey Carpool Crew! In todayās episode, Pastor Justin shares the incredible story from Mark chapter 4 when Jesus calmed a massive storm with just three words: āSilence. Be still.ā The disciples were terrified as waves crashed into their boat and the wind shook everything around them. But while everyone else panicked, Jesus stood up calmly and showed that even the wind and waves obey Him. This episode reminds kids that Jesus is not only bigger than storms outside the boat, but also the storms happening inside our hearts and minds. Whether itās anxiety, fear, frustration, sadness, or stress, Jesus cares about every loud feeling we carry. Kids will learn: Why the disciples were so afraid during the storm How Jesus responded with peace instead of panic What to do when emotions feel overwhelming Why talking about your worries helps How prayer invites Jesus into hard moments Scripture Referenced: Mark 4:39 (CSB) Todayās challenge: When your thoughts or emotions start feeling loud this week, stop and take three slow breaths while praying: āJesus, be still.ā Then talk to someone you trust about whatās going on inside your heart. Hey Carpool Crew! In todayās episode, Pastor Justin talks about a moment in Mark chapter 6 when Jesus and His disciples were completely exhausted and desperately needed rest. But when they arrived at a quiet place, thousands of people were already waiting for them. Instead of getting frustrated or sending everyone away, Jesus responded with compassion. Even though He was tired, He chose to care for people anyway. This episode helps kids understand that kindness and love are often most important when we donāt feel like giving them. Whether itās helping a sibling, listening to a friend, or pitching in at home, Jesus teaches us to put people before our own comfort. Kids will learn: Why Jesus chose compassion even when He was exhausted How to help others when you feel tired or frustrated Why kindness matters most in everyday moments Practical ways to serve family members and friends How following Jesus sometimes means putting others first Scripture Referenced: Mark 6:34 (CSB) Todayās challenge: Before saying ānoā when someone asks for help this week, pause and ask yourself: āHow can I help?ā Then choose one kind thing you can do for someone else without complaining or making a big deal about it. Hey Carpool Crew! In todayās episode, Pastor Justin shares the powerful story of Jesus meeting the woman at the well from John chapter 4. What started as one simple conversation turned into a life-changing moment that impacted an entire town. The woman came to the well alone, probably trying to avoid people. But Jesus noticed her, talked with her kindly, and treated her like she mattered. Because she did. This episode reminds kids that small moments of kindness, attention, and conversation can make a huge difference in someoneās life. Sometimes all it takes is saying hello, asking someone to sit with you, or noticing the person everyone else overlooks. Kids will learn: Why Jesus talked to the Samaritan woman when others wouldnāt How kindness and conversation can change someoneās day Why listening matters just as much as talking Practical ways to include others at school and in everyday life How God can use one small moment to do something big Scripture Referenced: John 4:14 (CSB) Todayās challenge: Start one conversation with someone you donāt normally talk to this week. Hey Carpool Crew! Today weāre talking about something every kid has experienced at some point: being ignored. Maybe youāve felt left out before. Maybe youāve seen someone else sitting alone, getting overlooked, or feeling invisible. In todayās episode, Pastor Justin shares the story of Zacchaeus from Luke 19 and reminds us that Jesus notices people others ignore. Hey Carpool Crew! Today weāre talking about one of the smartest answers Jesus ever gave. Some religious leaders tried to trap Him with a tricky question about taxes, government, and Caesar⦠but Jesus stayed calm, thought clearly, and pointed everyone back to what matters most: honoring God above all. In this episode, kids will learn that following Jesus sometimes means making hard choices, standing up for whatās right, and staying faithful even when thereās pressure from friends or people around us. Todayās Big Idea: Do whatās right and honor God above all. Bible Verse: Matthew 22:17 (CSB) āTell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar or not?ā In This Episode, Kids Will Learn: Why the religious leaders tried to trap Jesus What Jesus meant by āGive to Caesar what is Caesarāsā How Jesus stayed calm under pressure Why our hearts belong to God first How to handle tricky situations with friends and peer pressure Why doing the right thing is always worth it Family Discussion Question: When is it hardest for you to do the right thing, and what can you do in that moment? Hey Carpool Crew! Today weāre talking about one of the most intense moments in Jesusā ministry when He walked into the temple and flipped over tables! Why would Jesus do something like that? And what does it teach us about trusting Him? In this episode, Pastor Justin walks through John 2:18 and explains why Jesus cared so deeply about worship, people, and what was right. The religious leaders demanded proof that Jesus had authority, but Jesus pointed to the greatest proof of all: His death and resurrection. Kids will learn that we can trust Jesus not just because of what He said, but because of what He actually did for us. Todayās Big Idea: We can trust Jesus because of what Heās done for us. Bible Verse: John 2:18 (CSB) āWhat sign can you show us to prove your authority?ā In This Episode, Kids Will Learn: Why Jesus cleared the temple What made Jesus angry in the temple courts Why the religious leaders questioned Jesus What Jesus meant when He said He would raise the temple in three days How Jesus proved who He is through His resurrection Why we can trust Jesus even when we have doubts Family Discussion Question: When you have doubts, what can you remember about what Jesus has already done? Hey Carpool Crew! š Pastor Justin here, and today weāre tackling a big question: Is Jesus just a really good teacher⦠or is He actually God? Todayās Big Truth: Jesus isnāt just a good teacher. He is God. In John 8:58, Jesus says something that caught everyoneās attention: āBefore Abraham was, I am.ā That might sound simple at first, but it was a huge statement. āI amā was the name God used for Himself in the Old Testament. So when Jesus said that, He wasnāt just saying He existed before Abraham. He was saying He is God. We break that down in a way kids can understand, including a simple school example that makes it click. Hereās why this matters for you today: Jesus knows everything about you Jesus has power over everything Jesusā love for you is real and personal This isnāt just about knowing facts. It changes how you pray, how you trust Him, and how you live every day. When you talk to Jesus, youāre talking to God. When you feel scared, God is with you. When you follow Jesus, youāre following the One who made everything. Hey Carpool Crew! š Pastor Justin here, and today weāre talking about something that might sound a little confusing at first⦠what does it actually mean to be āborn againā? In John 3:3, Jesus says something that surprised a lot of people: you have to be born again to see the kingdom of God. But He wasnāt talking about starting life over as a baby. He was talking about something way deeper. Todayās Big Truth: Jesus gives you a brand new life on the inside. We walk through the story of Nicodemus and break down what Jesus really meant. Itās not about changing how you look on the outside. Itās about God changing your heart, your thoughts, and the way you treat people. We also share a real-life story about a kid named Tyler who messed up, felt it in his heart, and chose to talk to Jesus about it. What happened next? Thatās exactly what ābeing made newā looks like. Hereās what you can do today: Be honest when you mess up Talk to Jesus about whatās going on inside Trust Him to change your heart over time You donāt just need better behavior. You need a new heart. And thatās exactly what Jesus gives. Parent Action Step: If this episode helped your family, share it with another parent today. Hey Carpool Crew! š Happy May the Fourth! And todayās big truth fits perfectly: Use what God gave you to help others. In Luke 12:48, Jesus says, āFrom everyone who has been given much, much will be required.ā That means if youāve been given gifts, talents, or strengths, theyāre not just for you. Hereās the truth: You have influence. You have ability. You have something that matters. The question is, how are you using it? Just like in Star Wars, power can be used for good or for bad. Same power, different outcomes. Some of you are funny. Some are leaders. Some are kind. Some are great at sports or school. Thatās your āpower.ā What this looks like today: Know your strengths Use them to help, not hurt Pay attention to your impact on others The goal isnāt just being gifted. Itās using your gifts in a way that makes people better. Family Discussion Question: What is something you are good at, and how can you use it to help someone today? Hey Carpool Crew! š Weāre so glad youāre here today. Whether youāre heading to school, finishing breakfast, or starting homeschool, this episode is all about one big question: What matters most in your life? Pastor Justin gives a special shoutout to Emma, Scott, Amelia, and Adeline in Midland, Texas, and then dives into a powerful moment from Mark 10:17. A man runs up to Jesus and asks the question weāve all wondered at some point: What do I need to do to have eternal life? That question leads us to todayās big truth: š Following Jesus matters more than anything else. The man in the story looked like he had everything together. He made good choices and followed the rules. But Jesus saw something deeper. Something else had first place in his heart. So what about us? Kids today have a lot of good things in their lives. Friends, sports, games, family. None of those are bad. But this episode challenges listeners to ask: š Do any of those things matter more to me than following Jesus? Through a relatable story about a boy named Tyler and his video games, kids will learn how everyday choices reveal what truly comes first in their hearts. Hereās what you can do today: Put Jesus first before distractions Pay attention to your choices because they show what matters most Be willing to let go of anything that gets in the way Parent Action Step: If this episode encouraged your family, share it with another parent today or post it in a group you're part of.
