“"Everything good is above the surface. Walking, air, the sky, clouds, the sun… Woah! Don't look at it!” - Alberto Scorfano (Disney/Pixar’s Luca, 2021)“Come and join Me,” Jesus replied. So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus (Matthew 14:29, TPT).Step By Faith:Peter experienced the miracle when he stepped out of the boat and onto the surface of the water. Though he became afraid and started to sink, the Lord immediately reached out and lifted above the waters. Your step by faith today may be where you see God move in your life too. “The future has arrived. The future has arrived. The future has arrived. The future has arrived. The future's arrived. Nobody can doubt. The future is what everything's about. It's better for you and it's better for me. It's better than what everybody thought it would be” - (Disney's Meet the Robinsons, 2007 / the song also plays at the end of the film by The All-American Rejects).“The truth will set you free, brother” - Wilbur Robinson (Disney's Meet the Robinsons, 2007).I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead (Philippians 3:13, TPT).Step By Faith:God is calling you forward, not backward. Don’t let yesterday keep you from moving forward toward what He has ahead for you in Todayland and Tomorrowland.Verses for Thought:Philippians 3:13 / Jeremiah 29:11-13 / Revelation 1:8 / Job 14:5 / Isaiah 43:19 / Joshua 1:9 / Revelation 1:8 / Romans 8:28 / Ephesians 3:20-24Email Me!If you enjoyed today's episode, or if you have any comments, questions, want to leave a review, or provide your feedback, feel free to send me an email @ [email protected]. “Come on! I know it's a dump, but it's all I got." - Vanellope von Schweetz (Disney's Wreck It Ralph, 2012)Vanellope says this to Ralph when she shows him where she lives, and her secret unfinished racetrack in Diet Cola Mountain. Ralph then makes a drivable track to help train her how to drive her newly made go-kart they built together.Keep your eyes on Jesus, Who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—He could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now He’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God the Father (Hebrews 12:2, MSG).Step By Faith:Don’t let the distractions of today steal your focus. Keep your eyes on the One Who leads you forward with joy and purpose to finish the race of your faith in Him.Verses for Thought:Hebrews 12:2 / Philippians 1:6 / 2 Corinthians 3:18 / Proverbs 22:6 / 2 Corinthians 5:7 / Romans 10:17 / Romans 12:2 / Genesis 9:6 / Revelation 22:13Email Me!If you enjoyed today's episode, or if you have any comments, questions, want to leave a review, or provide your feedback, feel free to send me an email @ [email protected]. “There’s no place I’d rather be than on my surfboard out at sea. Lingering in the ocean blue, and if I had one wish come true, I’d surf till the sun sets beyond the horizon.” - (Disney's Lilo & Stitch, 2002)Jesus said to them, “Why would you need to search for Me? Didn’t you know that it was necessary for Me to be here in my Father’s house, consumed with Him?” (Luke 2:49, TPT).Take a Step By Faith:Just like Jesus desired to be in His Father’s house, let today be a moment to intentionally draw close to God’s heart.Verses for Thought:Luke 2:49 / Jeremiah 29:11-13 / Isaiah 41:10 / Proverbs 23:18 / Romans 8:28 / Esther 4:14 / Luke 10:42 / Matthew 6:33 / John 15:5 / 1 Corinthians 1:27Email Me!If you enjoyed today's episode, or if you have any comments, questions, want to leave a review, or provide your feedback, feel free to send me an email @ [email protected]. “I sense there's something in the wind that feels like tragedy's at hand and though I'd like to stand by him, can't shake this feeling that I have…What will become of my dear friend? Where will his actions lead us then? Although I'd like to join the crowd in their enthusiastic cloud…” - Sally (Disney's The Nightmare Before Christmas, 1993)Do you hear Lady Wisdom calling? “All the flowers would have very extra-special powers. They would sit and talk to me for hours, when I'm lonely in a world of my own.Within that world of my own I could listen to a babbling brook. “I've been staring at the edge of the water ‘long as I can remember, never really knowing why. I wish I could be the perfect daughter, but I come back to the water, no matter how hard I try. Every turn I take, every trail I track, every path I make, every road leads back to the place I know, where I cannot go, where I long to be. See the line where the sky meets the sea? It calls me and no one knows how far it goes. If the wind in my sail on the sea stays behind me, one day I'll know. If I go, there's just no telling how far I'll go” - Moana (Disney's Moana, 2016).Peter, suddenly bold, said, “Master, if it’s really you, call me to come to You on the water.”He said, “Come ahead.” Jumping out of the boat, Peter walked on the water to Jesus. But when he looked down at the waves churning beneath his feet, he lost his nerve and started to sink. He cried, “Master, save me!”Jesus didn’t hesitate. He reached down and grabbed his hand. Then He said, “Faint-heart, what got into you?” The two of them climbed into the boat, and the wind died down (Matthew 14:28-33, MSG).Step By Faith:Lord, in the midst of fear and uncertainty, help us step out in faith like Peter. Keep our eyes fixed on You, and when we begin to sink, reach out and lift us up. Grow our trust so we can truly believe—You are with us. Amen. “Born in grief. Raised in hate. Helpless to defy his fate. Let him run. Let him live, but do not forget what we cannot forgive. And he is not one of us. He has never been one of us. He is not part of us. Not our kind.”Someone once lied to us, now we're not so blind. For we knew he would do what he's done, and we know that he'll never be one of us.” - (Disney's The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride, 1998)Jesus said, “Forsake the habit of criticizing and judging others, and you will not be criticized and judged in return. Don’t condemn others and you will not be condemned. Forgive over and over, and you will be forgiven over and over (Luke 6:37, TPT).Step By Faith:Lord, help us release passing judgment on others and criticizing based on what we believe to be true about them. Help us instead to be quick to forgive them as You, Lord, freely forgive us. And when we are hurt by the judgment of others, let us choose mercy over rejection, and walk in forgiveness today. Amen. Max: There are times you drive me, shall we say, bananas. And your mind is missin', no offence, a screw.Goofy: None taken.Max: Still, whatever mess I land in, who is always understandin'? Nobody else but you. Both: But when I start to sink, hey, I'd rather go down, with nobody else but Y-O-U!- (Disney's A Goofy Movie, 1995)Gently encourage the stragglers, and reach out for the exhausted, pulling them to their feet. Be patient with each person, attentive to individual needs. And be careful that when you get on each other’s nerves you don’t snap at each other. Look for the best in each other, and always do your best to bring it (1 Thessalonians 5:14-15, MSG).Step By Faith:Lord, help us to be patient with everyone, encourage the weak, and always choose kindness over wrong. Fill our hearts to do good in every moment with everyone we meet.
