Usually it’s by the hour, or some other fixed unit that helps the client predict what they’ll spend. But there’s another way to charge. It’s a little different. It requires some risk on your part. But if you and the client are willing to try it, you can both make (much) more money. It can also help you land clients that are on the fence. You might not use this trick for every job.
