Like too many people these days, Marci struggled with body image and self-esteem issues for most of her life. Feeling like she could never live up to society’s unrealistic beauty standards, she often resorted to extreme and dangerous diet and exercise techniques that resulted in serious emotional, psychological and physical damage that wreaked havoc on her life for the better part of 30 years. Marci’s battle started in her teens and continued into her adult years until she was lucky enough to find recovery.Her amazing recovery and ability to turn trauma into triumph has been her catalyst for reaching out to other young men and women who are facing the same obstacles she did. Fit vs Fiction allows Marci to tell her story in an engaging and meaningful way. Her in-depth group seminars and one on one counselling allows her to connect with her audience by focusing on real-life experiences and examples.
