25 years ago this week, at the turn of the millennium, Eyrkah Badu released her second album, Mama's Gun . The album went certified platinum, and is considered to be one of the best in Badu's career. James Poyser is a keyboardist for The Roots, and one of Badu's closest collaborators who was in the studio with Erykah to make Mama's Gun.
