With arguably one of the worst VHS covers for a vintage Christmas slasher, this one doubles down by also being directed by the super creep from Last House on the Left, David Hess. However what it lacks in art, story and star power they fill in with blood, boobs, Santa and the one and only Harry Reems. So win win win!? In this episode, keeping with the winter frosty theme from last week, The FM3 hit the slopes and freeze their giggle berries off checking out Adam Green's "Frozen" from 2010. This film is a simple survival horror film but it sure does get the crew talking about their fears,tribulations and stories about hot doggin' out in the icy mountains as well as other remote locals like Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Singapore. So get a jacket and some mittens because It's about to get real cold in here and whatever you do, don't call The Ski Patrol!

The FM3 decided to kick off December by heading to Antarctica to check out some space skin that some Norwegians found buried deep in the freezing snow. Little do they know they will be overtaken by an alien lifeform just like in the 1982 John Carpenter classic "The Thing". Thankfully for you listeners, the only real change you will notice is Jef, Josh and Brian may choose some "good" movies more often and oh yeah they are all connected together and are a huge mess of flesh now. But other than those two things, everything you love about the podcast will remain the same, that is until the guys get their silly little flying saucer built out of old hot dog cans and lawn mower engines. It's Gnarvember folks! The time of year that Jef, Josh and Brian celebrate horror movies that feature Heavy Metal and or hard rock bands! This time around the FM3 check out 1987's "Slaughterhouse Rock" starring the one and only Toni Basil! This flick interested our brave heroes because it takes place in SF and on Alcatraz. So of course the guys wanted to dip in and see what hard rock delights awaited them. It's Halloween and your friends at Forever Midnight have some treats for ya! This year the crew chose at Jef's suggestion the made for TV movie from 1985 "The Midnight Hour"! There is a very good chance lots of you folks know this one and maybe even saw it when it aired way back when. It is chock full of all kinds of now known folks and some now unknown folks that were more well known in the 70's and 80's hahah even Dom DeLuise's little shit of a kid is stinking this one up. If you have not seen this one it's up on Youtube and you can even get DVD's of it! It has lots of Halloween vibes so it's a good one to play on All Hallow's Eve! Josh, Jef and Brian get into a lengthy discussion about candy and snack perfectly on theme for the holiday but if you wanna go straight to the movie talk, start around the 17 minute mark. In this episode it was Jef's turn to pick a movie for the crew to watch and chat about, Brian and Josh figured after their stinky picks recently Jef was going to elevate the situation and pick a good movie. Well Jef decided it was only fair to stoop to their level and dig into the dumpster for a nice ripe one. Of course he would never just do any old thing, he will always make sure there are at the very least good actors attached to his pick. He was not wrong, he chose 1995's "Hideaway" starring Jeff Goldblum, Alicia Silverstone, Jeremy Sisto, Rae Dawn Chong and Alfred Molina! A whole stack of somebodies! Alas even with all that star power, Hideaway might be best appreciated by those that saw it when it came out, or who knows maybe it is your future favorite movie? Either way The FM3 dig into it and come out the other side forever touched by Heaven and Hell, and revived and ready for the next episode. So win win? Enjoy!

In this episode it was Josh's turn to pick a movie for the guys to watch and chat about. He got so excited that he completely forgot about the ban on Charles Band movies that the FM3 made a blood oath on just mere episodes ago. But instead of choosing something else Brian, Jef and Josh dive dick first into the deep dark dumpster that holds The Charles Band Archives and resurfaced with "The Dungeonmaster" from 1984. Listeners you too can play at home in the Chuck Band Dumpster and watch Richard Moll and the Fondacaro brothers get horribly underused and at the same time see some of John Carl Buechler's Troll and Ghoulies puppet rejects, and really what more could you ask from a "horror" movie?

In this episode one of the FM3's Patreon Top Dawgs picked a movie that the guys were very skeptical about and never imagined watching it. Having heard the name and seen the VHS artwork Jef, Josh and Brian could only imagine that this flick was nothing more than a janky music video for Boris Pickett & The Crypt Kicker 5's punishing jam "The Monster Mash". Thank goodness it wasn't and because It is actually a pretty fun horror anthology with some cool musical numbers. Plus you get a monster sized dose of Vincent Price and John Carradine as the book ends of each of the stories and boy oh boy they are hamming it up and down. The best part is that Boris Pickett was nowhere to be found and for the Forever Midnight boys that meant this flick might not stink to high heavens like the Wolfman's nards or the Crypt Kickers crypt knickers.

In this episode, one of the Forever Midnight's Patreon Top Dawgs picked a movie for the FM3 to chat about and even sent a gift across the pond. Mysteriously, this gift just happened to arrive the very day the guys were sitting down to record his special episode!! Some might call that a coincidence, but Jef, Josh and Brian call it a coinkydink or more possibly good old fashioned stalking…hmmm? How did he know when the guys were recording? How did he know they like gifts? How did he know where to send them gifts? Do you know where to send them gifts? Well, regardless of the impending restraining order against the crew's favorite Brit-Ish Cabbie, the guys got to check off their watch list for another teen slasher flick from the 80's! In this week's episode, Jef, Josh and Brian are so happy to be back at the movie theater watching a brand new horror flick! The FM3 sit down for Michael Shanks "Together" starring Alison Brie and her real life husband Dave Franco. Hopes were high and little was known about this project for The Forever Midnight Crew. Because he prefers the taste of crap. Although the social media video sensation known as 'Vines' wouldn't take off until five years later, this white-privilege, vacation-friends, major-label body-horror gem features vines front and center, atop a pyramid! In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian head to the theater to check out the newest fright fest from the guys that made you shit your diaper with 2022's "Talk To Me", The Philippou brothers! The FM3 all had very physical and emotional reactions to "Bring Her Back" and as the credits rolled they all realized how tense and rowdy that journey was but also recognized that these guys are truly pushing horror and making folks scared again. This week Jef decided enough was enough so he picked a good movie for a change of scenery. What "good" movie do you ask? One right in Jef's sweet spot, none other than 1990's "MISERY"! Josh and Brian were caught off guard by this "good" movie pick thrown into the mix. They were not quite sure if they were bummed or excited to watch James Caan stink up a bed for 2 hours, but the one thing they did know is this would not be a difficult film to watch this week and talk about. Sure they may have had their reasons for the lackluster reception to Jef's pick, but they knew in their hearts this would be a nice break from the dog shit they usually watch...and LOVE. Plus they knew the listener's would probably hoist Jef upon their shoulders and hail him as their saviour....at least for this week.

In this episode it is Brian's week to choose a movie and he decides to choose one that has been haunting him for some time, even though he has never seen it! Something caught his eye and sat in the back of his head until this week when he finally made Jef and Josh watch the 1981 zombie invasion film "Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror"! At first glance it seemed to be just another run of the mill Italian zombie flick with slow ass walking dead, cheap zombie makeups and a plot that is buried deeper than most of the zombies in the film, but the casting of a single man sets this movie apart from almost all other italian zombie movies. You gotta watch it!

The FM3 have been dealing with being sick and injured this past week so they decided to unleash an episode recorded in 2021 from the Patreon Exclusive Episode Archive (There are over 80 episodes on our Patreon by the way..wink wink) The film in question is James Gunn's 2006 bump & lump fest "Slither"! This is a fun episode because the guys actually like this movie so it's jumps all over the place, touching and stroking all the space worms and topics. Plus there is a conversation at the very end of the episode that shows The Forever Midnight crew is truly touched with the gift of predicting the future, in this case the future of James Gunn's film projects. In this episode one of Forever Midnight 's Top Dawgs from Patreon picked a little unsung horror flick from 2001 called "Session 9". This is one of those rare occasions when a film has a shoestring budget and a simple premise but is done well and you end up with a huge abandoned asylum filled with dread, perfect for getting creeped out while watching with headphones in the dark. THe FM3 were very excited to finally chat about this one and try to uncover what REALLY happened to the poor characters. For you loyal listeners this movie was even on Josh's Top 20 list of the Past 20 episode ! In this episode the heroic cosmonauts Jef, Josh and Brian saved their last intergalactic horror chat for what is probably the most well known franchise to make it to the stars, the one and only "Jason X"! The crew aboard the SS Forever Midnight have grown weary and fear their bones and brains have been affected by the long journey through space and time. Their teeth have gotten skinny and Brian is experiencing celestial walnut brain syndrome. It is time to get back to earth 1, time to reintegrate back into human society. Soaring in the heavens this past month was a great idea on paper, but the cost physically and mentally for the crew was astro-nomical!

This time around the FM3 make a wish that Leprechaun 4 will hopefully not be as much of a boring mess as Critters 4, and who knows maybe they will find some gold hidden on some far off Mardi Gras planet?! Who knows maybe they will even witness a real life Leprechaun shootin' a pistol, you never know...it could happen! They may have breached some movie watching etiquette by watching 1992's Critters 4 before Critters 3 but they believe this was the best course of action as they needed another franchise horror space movie! Jef, Josh and Brian were told that this is the episode in the franchise that they get to see Pinhead in outer space! That said, they happily welcomed a film with some top shelf actors and a story that Chuck Band didn't produce! So gather round the fire cause this is gonna be a cold couple nights. The crew is hunkered down amidst the wreckage of a downed plane and of course there is a pack of wolves just waiting to snack on a group of frozen dude-sicles. As the wolves' bellies are filling up on man meat, it's time to decide to keep hangin' around the plane or to venture off yonder into the deep dark forest. What would you do? How would you survive? In this episode the FM3 get into some lesser known territory, that of an Academy Award winning horror film. One of Forever Midnight's Top Dawg Patreon Patrons paid the big bucks and made Jef, Josh and Brian watch and review 1991's Silence Of the Lambs. Historically the crew rarely watch any movie with an IMDB rating above a 6, but holy Hannibal shit, this baby is an 8.6 on IMDB and even that seems low for this beloved fan favorite. So get ready, The boys are finally hopping in a jacuzzi filled to the tippy top with fava beans and Chianti just marinating and talking about what is arguably one of the most loved horror films of all time.

In this episode it is Josh's pick and he finally suggested a movie the crew has talked about watching for forever, 1990's "SYNGENOR"! This kinda sideways sequel to the 1980's "Scared to Death" shares the same monster design and lack of money as the original but that is about it. Josh was so excited and couldn't wait to talk about this one so Jef and Brian took the elevator all the way down to the tippy bottom of the Norton Cyberdyne building to join Joshenor for this reunion of sorts. Can this movie be better than the OG? Can the mouth move on the monster mask this time? Can there be some connection from this movie to a ton of other genre flicks that the FM3 love? In this episode Jef picked a flick for the crew that he has been wanting to check out forever, 1994's "Night Of The Demons 2"! The FM3 talked about the original Night Of The Demons way back on episode #73: Halloween Quig-out! (Night Of The Demons & The Barn), so check that one out if you are curious, the guys may have talked a lot of shit but at the end of the day they all agree that the original is at the very least a classic or at the very very least a "classic wank"! So getting to go back to party with Angela for Halloween was very exciting! While the spirit of the first film definitely haunts this sequel, Jef, Josh and Brian talk at length about its laundry list of shortcomings and try their HARDEST to fill an old stiff sock with all the things they loved about this straight to video mess-terpiece. In this episode Jef, Josh and Brian decide to keep riding the Werewolf train and pull Howling 2: Your Sister is a Werewolf off the VHS shelf at the studio. What better way to enjoy a sequel to one of the all time classic werewolf flicks than on videocassette with your buds?! Soon after the FM3 realized something was off, everything went dark - Is it the VCR? Could it be a bad duplication? Maybe the Forever Midnight crew is having a collective stroke and everything is hairy!? The poison in this case is the polarizing 1981 film "Possession" by writer/director Andrzej Zulawski. Jef, Josh and Brian are finally ready to tackle this legendary movie at least in the public's ears. Well only ugly and jacked if you were one of the "actors" in the 1993 ozploitation film "Body Melt". For years the Forever Midnight Crew held high hopes that this movie would bring them a treasure trove of the grossest and goriest deaths to ever grace the silver screen. The crew is outside of an upscale clothing store waiting for their newest experimental Jeans to drop. The guys have two choices: battle the blue jeans or figure out why the denim is on a murderous rampage. In this episode, Jef, Josh and Brian hop in the not so way-back machine and travel to the 1990's. The mission was to see the aftermath of a post "Scream" world where every studio and director just wanted the hottest young doofs in Hollywood and had a total and complete lack of ideas and love for the genre. The FM3 crash landed in 1998 trying to get there in time to disrupt the making of Urban Legend in hopes of ending the production but alas they were too late and they arrived on opening day September 25th, 1998. As they saw the young people pouring in to watch UL1, they decided to finally give it a watch...what you are about to hear is an account of what befell this group of horror podcasters, it is all more tragic that they were old and jaded and knew this movie was gonna be dog shit, but they could not have expected nor would they have wished to see any more "Scream" rip-offs. For them an idyllic time travelling afternoon would become a nightmare as they could not stop or reverse the ripples these types of films would make for years and years to come... In this week's episode Jef, Josh and Brian remember way back, when they bought a cute little baby gator from a leathery one armed man and couldn't wait to spend their lives raising it. Things were going well with their new pet for about 24 hours but then an angry dad ran into the research center and flushed our little guy down the toilet. Trying to cope with this tragedy the crew started Podcasting and passed the years talking about such horror films as ALLIGATOR (1980). Then the rumors started, day after day the FM3 would hear stories and legends of a 36 foot long monster that lived in the sewers of Santa Rosa. In an unsurprising twist instead of a giant lizard it turned out just to be a huge turd, the bastard clogged turd of a dozen horror movie nerds. How crazy would it have been if it was their sweet baby gator living in the sewer all grownast and bloodthirsty!?! That would have been awesome!

No longer used to such quality, "His House" legitimately scares the FM Crew, and in their spasmodic throes of terror, they send the NightWitch back to the netherworld with their violent flailings. Amazing how a one-of-a-kind film told from a unique perspective can shake one's foundations! Now they can get back to reviewing such choice titles as 'Killer Toilet'.
