The stock Boom Box audio system already sounds pretty good compared to previous years, but the Boom Audio Stage 1 & 2 speakers and amplifier kits can make it even better. But, not without a hefty price tag & confusion by dealerships and riders alike. Even on Harley Davidson's own website it can be hard to navigate and understand what components and wiring kits you need to actually purchase based on your needs. Information/Set Up If you run stage 1 speakers up front and in the rear (passenger) then you just need one 4 channel Boom Audio amplifier mounted in the front fairing. One channel goes to each speaker. If you want to run the stage 2 speakers in front and rear then you will need an additional amplifier in the rear mounted in a saddlebag. Each front fairing stage 2 speaker runs on two channels on the 4 channel amp. One channel goes to the mid-range on the speakers and one to the tweeter. Yes, you can also add additional saddlebag lid speakers, powered by the rear 4 channel amp. One channel goes to each of the 4 rear speakers (passenger & lid speakers).
