The first in a four-part series detailing medication access for gender-diverse individuals in light of increasingly restrictive legislative action. As front-line healthcare workers, it’s incumbent upon pharmacists to be paragons of not only equality but equity in healthcare. Gender expansive and nonbinary patients face a massive disparity of outcomes, many of which are improved with gender-affirming therapy. With the expansion of pharmacists’ roles in healthcare, many cases of gender-affirming therapy are often overseen or monitored by pharmacists. The world is changing, and the landscape of healthcare with it.
