It was a mixed night for English sides in the Champions League as Chelsea beat Barcelona, while Manchester City and Newcastle both lost. Pep Guardiola made 10 changes against Bayer Leverkusen who were just too good for Manchester City. Did the City boss underestimate the opposition who won comfortably by two goals at the Etihad. And it was another defeat on the road for Newcastle. Despite leading through Harvey Barnes, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rolled back the years to grab two goals and the win for Marseille.
