Kody is nervous about his second apology as he meets up with Christine and David. Janelle's friends ask her if she would ever get back with Kody. Ron meets Meri's friends for the first time as she hosts a fundraiser for Jenn's husband. In this episode, Kody attempts to apologize to Christine, but can't stop himself from taking credit for her happiness. Christine is nervous, but David has a steadying presence. Janelle’s confused post-conversation with Kody, but fails to give her friends any juicy details. We see multiple sides of Meri-- her kindness and loyalty as well as her snide passive aggressiveness. Robyn’s still trying to protect Kody from taking true accountability, and Kody apologizes through gritted teeth. Kody travels to North Carolina to meet with Janelle and apologize, but she questions his motives; Meri gets out of her comfort zone at a dating event in Las Vegas; during a game of pickleball, Christine talks to David about Kody's request to meet. In this episode, Kody launches his apology tour in North Carolina, where Janelle surprisingly/unsurprisingly meets him with warmth and nostalgia. Faced with meeting Kody for Stop #2 on the Kody Brown Apology Tour 2025, David reassures Christine that she is strong and he has her back, while Meri stays closed off at a dating event. And in a stunning moment, a basic question from a producer leads Robyn to threaten leaving set. So, what do you think? Was Kody genuine in his apology? Did Janelle let him off the hook a little too easy? You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I'd love to hear from you! Janelle celebrates the sale of Coyote Pass by partying with friends in New Orleans. Meri ventures out of her comfort zone and attends a dating event in Las Vegas. Kody owns up to his bad behavior and decides to apologize to each of his ex-wives. Okay, I have feelings this episode. I am so angry and hurt for the children. Kody's fake accountability is infuriating. He will literally travel across the country to apologize to his ex-wives instead of going to therapy. As for the others, Robyn knows her powers to manipulate Kody, Janelle's friends push her boundaries, Meri wants to date someone boring, and Christine...goes bowling I guess. I discuss the different ways of responding to estrangement using Leon, Maddie, and Ysabel, and brainstorm ways Kody could demonstrate his consistency. Thanks for listening! It's an awkward final showdown at Coyote Pass with Kody, Robyn, Janelle, and Meri. Janelle takes a trip to New Orleans and let's loose with girlfriends to celebrate, and Kody considers finding a therapist to help repair relationships with his children. I'm baaaack! I know so much has happened, but I am jumping ahead to Episode 9. This episode is all about estrangement with fathers, and the idea of Kody in therapy. I will tell you what direction I would take if I were his therapist! Since recording this, Leon has confirmed that Kody did not in fact reach out to them as he said in multiple interviews. For all the talk about wanting reconciliation, he's not putting any meaningful effort into making that happen. You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. The Brown family know how to celebrate Halloween in style, and do it with 21 colourful costumes and 24 pumpkins. In this short and sweet episode for my time away, I go all the way back to Season 2 Browns, when they were wholesome, and well, whole. It's really jarring to go from Season 20* to this fun, fluffy 22-minute episode. I'll be back next week continuing with Season 20, but for now, enjoy! *Also, between recording this episode and editing it, I watched episode 2 of Season 20 and wowee so much of this aged like milk. Robyn doesn't consider any of the OG13 her kids anymore. I will definitely be discussing that next week! You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. Christine and David visit Janelle in North Carolina to celebrate the purchase of her new property; Kody and Robyn discuss their now monogamous relationship and the possibility of bringing in a new wife; Meri dips her toe back into the dating world. This week marks my first foray into recapping a current season of Sister Wives . While the family is still very aware of the cameras, their guard is lowered, and the vibe is completely different. We see Madison naming her pain in estrangement, Sol being infantilized in real time, Robyn’s covert manipulation, and little signs of Kody's time in the manosphere. And woven through it all is the deep unending grief of losing Garrison, a loss that completely reshaped the family forever and raises the stakes of every decision around contact, distance, and connection. This episode is a toughie, so let's go through it together. I'm away so next week, you'll get another re-watch episode before I return the following week. Talk to you then! Kody and Janelle plan a private camping trip that results in a discussion about family finances. Meanwhile, Robyn opens up about her insecurities of not wanting to be a burden on the family financially. In the Price of Polygamy, we have Kody and Janelle arguing over spending, Robyn 'working hard' to prove her worth, and Christine stretching every dollar. I bring my therapist lens to talk about the Browns and their relationship with money. You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. In wake of the investigation revolving around the family, the Browns decide to get away for a quick vacation to Kody's parents ranch in Wyoming. The Browns head to the family ranch to get away from the investigation and media pressure. Kody's cosplaying as a cowboy. The wives go back and forth about their conflicting parenting styles. Grandmas Genielle and Sheryl talk about the experience of adding a wife to the family. And sweet Garrison thinks cows are annoying. Hear some of my thoughts on Robyn's anxiety and why I'd want to work with Grandma Sheryl for a little bit of therapy this week. Kody and his four wives are off to New York to appear on national television for the first time as open polygamists. Back home, the kids embark on their first day of public school. This week, the Brown kids get handed scripts for performing 'family' and the older kids step into the role of psuedo-parents while the actual parents chase their reality tv dreams. On their media tour, Kody and Christine insist they’re a happy family. Were they lying then or just re-writing it now? The parents wring their hands about how the kids will be treated at school, and Meri distracts the paparazzo to protect the little kids from being photographed. Hello? You let TLC cameras into their bedrooms! Meanwhile, Kody’s suffering from a severe case of Main Character Syndrome. All of these people need therapy... Thanks for listening everyone! I appreciate you!! You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I'd love to hear from you! Send me an email at sisterwivesgototherapy[at]gmail.com.

Kody and new wife Robyn are off on their honeymoon, spending time surfing and visiting a nearby zoo. Meri, Janelle and Christine stay back home with the kids, but will they have a hard time coping while Kody is away? We're wrapping up Season 1 with this special episode. Kody is off zip-lining, surfing, and canoodling with Robyn for an 11-DAY HONEYMOON, while the rest of the family is left to recalibrate. Logan continues to step into the role of the adult in the room, Christine tries to convince herself it’s ridiculous to miss Kody, and Janelle gives Kody the silent treatment. Did I mention the 11-day honeymoon? We get a front-row seat to how the Brown family system is in a "fruit basket upset" because one person is showered with attention and all others, wives and children, are neglected. How will this family find a new normal now that Kody clearly prefers his 4th wife? We'll find out in Season 2... NBC's Natalie Morales sits down with the Browns from TLC's smash hit Sister Wives for a candid discussion about love, marriage, jealousy and what the future may hold. In this outlier episode, we watch the Browns (with fresh blowouts!) sit through their own highlight reel, and it feels a bit like bad family therapy on national TV. Kody swings between grandiosity and insecurity, the wives tiptoe around Robyn, and everyone pretends their dysfunction is all in the past. I finally have an email address, so I’d love to hear your thoughts! You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I'd love to hear from you! The big day is finally here, Robyn and Kody are excited and his three other wives are all on hand to help make this fourth wedding a success. Will everything go to plan? Is Kody and Robyn's wedding is a union of soul mates, a blending of two families, or a coming out party? Meri and Kody lean into a fleeting flirtatious energy, Robyn pretends to be laidback, Christine puts on a smile while quietly grieving, and Janelle's just counting down the hours until she can head home. While this episode carries an optimistic and lighthearted tone, there is a big change happening in the Brown family system, and the tension of everyone's competing feelings and motivations will come to a head. Stay tuned! You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I'd love to hear from you! Send me an email at sisterwivesgototherapy[at]gmail.com.

As his fourth wedding day nears, Kody's other wives help Robyn choose her dress, cake and venue, and Kody plans a special trip for his daughter Janelle's birthday. In this week’s episode, it’s all about performance, power, and pastries. We watch the family “vote” on a wedding cake in a process that’s allegedly democratic, except for the part where Kody lobbies for his choice and gets it. Robyn keeps her dress a “secret” until Kody blows it, showing us how small breaches in trust can sting just as much as the big ones. Christine swats Kody away from her chocolate cake (a.k.a. the perfect metaphor for resource scarcity in plural marriage), then calls him an idiot—reminding me of how women’s justified anger is so often reframed as the problem in couples therapy. We’ve also got Kody dancing during the cake tasting, Robyn strutting in dresses she has no intention of buying, and the ever-present question: how is the camera influencing their behavior and emotional expression? While the three wives buy a friendship ring for Kody's fiancee Robyn, Kody prepares to celebrate his 20th Anniversary with his first wife, Meri. But when nothing goes as planned, will Kody end up in the dog house? In this iconic episode of Sister Wives, we get our first real look at Meri and Kody's relationship. Meri has very basic requests for empathy and understanding and Kody specifically refuses to give that to her. We get a glimpse of Janelle's financial stress, Robyn is forcing Breanna to call Kody 'Daddy', and Leon pleases Kody by talking about their ambition to join the military. As a therapist, I bring a clinical lens to the family dynamics unfolding onscreen—the power plays, unspoken feelings, and revealing word choice many viewers miss. Thanks for being here! Kody's fiancee Robyn helps out with the kids while Kody escorts Christine to the hospital to give birth; their newest baby is a week overdue and they must decide whether or not to induce labor. In the fourth episode of Sister Wives Go To Therapy , we witness Christine giving birth to Truely. She's alone in so many ways. Kody is physically present, but emotionally detached, and it’s clear that their relationship has some passive aggressiveness coming from both sides. Kody prioritizes seeing Robyn over being there for Christine IN LABOR. Meanwhile, Robyn steps in to help with the kids while Christine’s in the hospital, and she's tearful about her own family growing up. I have some theories about what's going on there. Let’s get into it. You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I'd love to hear from you! Send me an email at sisterwivesgototherapy[at]gmail.com.

Kody and his teenage daughters throw a birthday party for his new fiancee, Robyn. Meanwhile, first wife Meri struggles with feelings of jealousy as the whole Brown clan moves Robyn and her anxious kids closer to the family home. In the third episode of Sister Wives, things get messier, emotionally and logistically. The Browns are moving Robyn to a house down the road. Christine is devastated to find out about Kody and Robyn's first kiss. Robyn tears up over how hard it is for *her*. Meri mentions the thought about leaving the family. And Christine, nine months pregnant, is left alone to hook up a dryer. You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I'd love to hear from you! Kody heads south to court his potential fourth wife; back home, the wives express their feelings about a possible new sister wife and make preparations for Christine's new baby. In the second episode of Sister Wives , the dynamics start to shift, and the cracks start to show. We see Christine in an identity crisis as “the sweet one,” while Robyn’s arrival threatens her role in the family. There’s jealousy, yes, but it’s deeper than that—it’s about belonging, power, and emotional currency. Robyn and Kody talk about building happiness and choosing each other, but is that what their religion dictates? And what do we make of three wives sharing one sad slice of chocolate cake? This episode is a classic; I hope you enjoy. You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I'd love to hear from you! Meet the Browns, a seemingly-regular family on the outside, but with a twist once you step inside their home. This extraordinary family is also on the verge of another huge change that could transform the family's dynamic forever. In the first episode of Sister Wives Go To Therapy, I break down our initial impression of the Brown family. At the very beginning, I notice the emotional labor, parentification, and carefully curated stories they are presenting to the audience. From Christine living in the basement to Logan waking up early to get his siblings ready for school, this episode sets the tone for a system where there's hierarchy, denial, and emotional neglect. As a therapist, I’ve got things to say. You can support the show by sharing your rating or review on Spotify or Apple Podcasts. I'd love to hear from you!
