(5:50) The 1984 classics one of the best christmas films ever made and I thought we'd revisit it in time for the Holiday. Throughout this video we're gonna breakdown the movie and talk about all of the hidden details in it. Firstly though just a quick word from our sponsors and then we'll get into the movie. - Ok so during the 80s we saw a rise in humorous horrors. Ghostbusters released the same weekend in some territories Gremlins helped to continue the trend. Bringing together elements that were typical in horror films it also added in jokes to the scares. Written by Chris Columbus and directed by Joe Dante this was produced under Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment. He'd of course been a big part of Poltegeist which too mixed a tone of Horror with some comedy. Emphasis on some there...cos that Clown Scene. Nightmares for years. It definitely has his signature style to it though with there being a feeling of magic to the film. Based upon the idea of Gremlins they'd become a folklore tale amongst pilots.
