He and his wife Ann Cross created Bhutan Wine Company in 2017, and planted the first vines ever to be planted in the Kingdom of Bhutan in 2019. He has written eight books about wine under the pen name Micheal Amon and publishes a weekly newsletter Drinking and Knowing Things.
