Then, the M's are 78-75 and 2.0 games back of the wild card. We discuss the final nine games of the season, what we want to see and why this year has been so frustrating. The Mariners also forgot how to run the bases over the last week. We discuss the TOOTBLANs against the Yankees and decide if Dan Wilson should take some blame for not having his guys prepared. And how much are people mad at Julio Rodriguez for it all? Finally, congratulations are in order for a bunch of M's who made history this week. And hey, that Ohtani guy that the M's ignored in free agency is pretty good.

Here's the skinny: The Seattle Mariners took the final two games in Oakland to move to 71-70 on the year. They are now just 4.5 games back in the American League West and are trying to give us all a sliver of hope. We spent a good portion of this episode talking about why Jerry Dipoto shouldn't be back in 2025, and then the Mariners apparently decided to bring him back. We're releasing the episode anyways, because it was awesome. We had on Adnan Virk of the MLB Network and Tom Caron of NESN, who have unique perspectives on what the Mariners are going through. The Mariners lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday, continuing a dreadful road trip. They are now 5.0 games back in the American League West and while the division is not technically out of reach, it feels that way. We had a great guest lined up but they got sick so we have to re-schedule, so Brady just speaks from the heart about the losses, the road trip, the let down and so much more. And in one piece of good news, the Mariners are going to the Little League Classic in 2025.
