One of the principle beliefs that Muslims hold sacred is the concept of a Hereafter - that every single person’s actions in this worldly life will be measured and weighed in accordance with their responsibilities to God and everyone around them, and through God’s mercy and grace they will either be given Paradise, or by God’s justice some will suffer the consequences of flagrant spiritual negligence. This is a pretty powerful canvas for reflection, as it stands. One aspect of the Afterlife that is especially powerful, though, is the fact that the knowledge about its exact time and various details about its occurrence are hidden from humanity.
