About this episode
Send us a text Today's podcast guest is Canadian Olympic swimmer and Masters Swimmer - Tim Bach. We chatted about Tim's swim journey from a young age in Canada as one of eight children, to making the Canadian Olympic Team in 1972 and what is what like to compete as a 19yr old in those games. Many years later, Tim found himself in Australia via his work as a University lecturer and rediscovered swimming through Masters, which he has a long association with. We chatted about swimming masters in Melbourne, then on to Ballarat and Daylesford in regional Victoria, where he is advocating for an indoor heated to service the Hepburn Shire. While he waits for that to take shape, you will often find him in Lake Daylesford, taking no heed to the old wives tale about the old gold mines sucking people down under water. A great chat with a humble guy with many take aways for pool and open water masters swimmers. Listen in now!
