John Middleton said Friday at Penn that “we’ll probably not win” the Juan Soto sweepstakes. It’s not a surprise, but it was as candid as anybody had been in talking about the Phillies’ chances to sign the superstar outfielder. So, the Phillies don’t expect to sign Soto.
