On this episode, the boys had on special guest Adam Walker! As Danny P proclaims, Adam might be the fastest guy training in STL right now with PRs of 1:03 in the half and 2:17 in the marathon. Adam is only 25 and made massive fitness gains the last few years after finishing his collegiate career at St. Louis University. His secret is a training method you have likely heard of but it isn’t widely talked about in the running space right now: the Lydiard method. We had heard of this before but didn’t really know what it entailed besides high volume. Adam broke down the 4 stages of the 18 week marathon build following the Lydiard method and also the other keys to his recent success. Adam just came off a 1:03 half marathon PR and is running the Rotterdam (Netherlands) Marathon in a couple weekends looking to run 2:12-15. Enjoy!
