The troupe once again found themselves up against Lucretia Sanguine. New Rogue tried to strike a deal with her to both return Jack Magnum to him and return Adam to his own body in exchange for a child, but instead, she charmed New Rogue into trying to kill Adam, and Adam stabbed Jack Magnum with his doll needle, causing them both to collapse. Del and Tyler arrived on the scene and Tyler finally slapped New Rogue out of his charmed state in time to hear from Denton Arthur that Aesyr Sanguine’s army is marching toward the Rootless Evergeen.
