She has written nine books on various periods of Jewish mystical creativity, including The Mystical Origins of Hasidism (Littman, 2006) and Israel Ba'al Shem Tov and his contemporaries : Kabbalists, Sabbatians, Hasidim and Mitnaggedim (Carmel, 2014).
