On the island, she carved a path to play through determination, eventually becoming a collegiate champion and turned professional. Following her playing career, she became a sought-after coach in both skills and mental toughness. Gigi Fernandez is a 17-time Grand Slam champion in doubles, which she captured alongside three different Hall of Famers.
