Brad Garrett has been sober since 1997. Due to childhood trauma and other factors, he found that he could escape from himself with alcohol and marijuana. Over the years, this addiction progressed, but the bottom never completely fell out. On a vacation trip to Maui, he had an experience that would change the trajectory of his life.
