News and Notes About Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday Filmed in Utah, with some scenes shot in Vancouver. This movie was filmed under the working title “Christmas at the Madison.” Movies were filmed back-to-back in April 12-May 22 and from June 5-July 5. This was the first time the sisters have worked together. Kimberly Williams-Paisley said the movie was sister Ashley’s idea and they pitched it to Hallmark about five years ago. Anna Holbrook (Another World), who played their mom in this movie, was the real-life best friend of the sisters’ mom who sadly passed a few years ago. They knew they wanted to cast Anna as their movie mom because of their close connection.
