In this episode of the Rox Lyfe podcast I'm chatting with Kristi O’Connell. Kristi made her name in the world of CrossFit. She has appeared at the CrossFit Games in 7 consecutive years, 6 of those times as an individual, where the lowest she ever placed was 13th. She's now retired from competing in CrossFit but recently took on her first ever HYROX – competing in the Pro division in Houston where she won in a time of 64:37. Kristi has more of an endurance background than many crossfit athletes, and her potential in HYROX, should she choose to give it some focus, appears to be very high. She is certainly a name we could see competing in the Elite 15 at some point in time. In this chat we talk about her experience in her first HYROX race, her training, her sporting background, her best sporting experiences, how she transitioned from an endurance background into the more strength based world of crossfit, her mindset, and lots more.
