She has the 6th fastest 10k in NCAA History, is a 5x All-American, was the 10k National Runner Up in 2023, 3rd in 5k in 2023, and 6th at USAs 2023, and back in 2018, was a member of U20 team USA world team for 5k. Emily recently opened up on social media about struggling with depression in her time as a professional runner. I think so few pro-runners are good at being open about their struggles, so I was so appreciative of Emily for being so open and vulnerable about sharing this part of her journey.
