Inside Running For The University Of Notre Dame With Carter Solomon

Today on the podcast is Carter Solomon. If you're not familiar with Carter, he is an accomplished long-distance runner who has achieved significant success in both cross country and track. He is the 2023 ACC Outdoor Champion in the 10,000 meters and the 2022 ACC Cross Country Champion in the 8K. He has qualified for NCAA championships multiple times in both cross-country and track events. In the 2023 cross country season, he competed in six races, with his best performance being a 22nd-place finish at the NCAA DI Great Lakes Region Championships. During his junior year, he placed seventh in the 5000 meters at the NCAA Championships and set personal records in several events, including a 13:26.11 in the 5000 meters and a 3:57.13 in the mile. As a sophomore, he won the 3000 meters at the Blue & Gold Invite, and as a freshman, he posted notable performances including a PR in the 6K. In high school, Carter was a two-time All-American, four-time all-state selection, and led his team to a state championship, earning accolades such as Mr. Cross Country in Michigan and Michigan Gatorade Runner of the Year.
