The plaintiff paid the defendant to rent a room in his house. She says she changed her mind and decided she did not want to live there. She’s suing for her money back. The defendant argues the plaintiff didn’t tell him for almost a month that she wasn’t going to move in. Then, the plaintiffs bought a pool filter and motor and hired the defendant to install it. They argue the defendant did the work quickly and everything turned out crooked and leaks. They’re suing for their money back. The defendant says the plaintiffs’ pool is 40 years old and the pipes were crooked to begin with. Plus, the plaintiff, a 90-year-old woman, is being represented by her daughter in court. The plaintiff says she took her mom to the defendant’s salon to get curls and a cut, but her hair didn’t turn out well. She’s suing for a refund. The defendant argues she does not owe the plaintiff any money because the plaintiff’s hair looked perfect when she left. She says she will happily do the plaintiff’s hair again, but not for free.
