The plaintiff says the defendant was her roommate. She claims she paid her for the rent and utilities, but the defendant pocketed the money and never gave it to the landlord. She’s suing for the money back. The defendant says some guy pretended to be the landlord and scammed them out of the money, and she claims the cops told her to put the utilities in her name.
