First, the plaintiff says the defendant hit her tiny dog with a cane, and the dog ended up losing an eye. Her dog had one surgery already and needs at least two more. She’s suing for vet bills. The defendant argues the dog lunged at him while he was walking his dog, so he was just protecting himself. Then, the plaintiff brought her expensive designer watch to the defendant’s jewelry store to get it fixed. She claims the defendant lost an important screw and damaged the watch while he was repairing it, so she needed to bring it to the designer for better repairs. She’s suing for the cost of the repairs. The defendant admits he lost the screw and offered to get her a new one, but she left before he could do it.
