However, the defendant insists the plaintiffs had the building wrongly condemned and moved out of the blue. Plus, the plaintiff gave the defendant a deposit on a sofa bed, which initially cost $399. After the defendant took the deposit, the plaintiff claims he upped the price and said the sofa would cost $499. The plaintiff demanded her deposit back, but he refused, so she’s suing for a refund.
