The plaintiff says he designed four billboard logos for the defendant and never got paid, so he’s suing. The defendant claims the work wasn’t up to par and the plaintiff harassed him, so he’s not paying. Then, the plaintiff says he hired the defendant to build a gazebo, and the defendant promised he’d get a building permit for it. Halfway through the job, the plaintiff received a notice to stop building because the defendant never got a permit. The defendant says the plaintiff refused the town’s request to get it permitted. He’s countersuing for unpaid work. Plus, in the third case, the plaintiff says the defendant crashed into his car and dented it, but now he’s refusing to pay for the damage, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant says he was on a one-lane road and the impatient plaintiff passed him illegally on the right and clipped his car. He saw no damage and owes nothing.
