About this episode
The plaintiff says the defendant worked for her husband’s company. They became good friends, and then she loaned her money for personal reasons. However, the defendant won’t pay her back, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant insists she paid off the loan by making payments and caring for the plaintiff’s elderly mother. Then, the plaintiff hired and paid the defendant to remove a tree and trim some bushes on her property. However, the plaintiff says the defendant never did the work and won’t return the money, so the plaintiff is suing for a refund. The defendant claims he showed up to do the work multiple times, but the plaintiff wouldn’t allow him to because she insisted she had to be home to oversee the defendant’s team.
