Markets cautiously await key US data as Middle East tensions mount

Ahead of US non-farm payrolls data due out later today, and following the latest developments in the Middle East, European and US stock markets closed lower yesterday. Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea, however, had a positive session as mainland China continued to enjoy the Golden Week holiday.
