About this episode
#12: Devan shares what his process is halfway through the calendar year after the annual Burn Boot Camp Summit wraps; which he appropriately dubs “halftime”. He does some self-reflection, checks in to what adjustments need to be made, creates space for original thought, gets some R+R with Morgan, and recharges so he can show up as his best self for the second half of the year. One of the pillars that is leading him through the next 6 months is tenacity and the willingness to be greater than average. His belief and commitment in what he’s doing are the factors that get him out of bed at 4:05AM 7 days a week. He shares what his day to day looks like when he is showing up 100%. He speaks on Burn Boot Camp’s tagline “Inspire. Empower. Transform.” “When I think about Empower , I think about a 45 minute workout every day that a woman, or a man, can use as a tool. They might not have a lot of confidence today, they might not have self-esteem through the roof today, but they're one step closer to being the fullest version of themselves. One step closer to being the happiest, most healthy version of themselves. That's what we mean when we say maximize your quality of life through empowering workouts. They’ll inspire and motivate you, and those around you, every day and create a community of people. Me and my team seek to seek to build confidence and happiness around all the things that are outside of the workout that make you a more fulfilled person. We don’t show up to the gym to get a six-pack, to do push-ups, or to throw around a dumbbell. Those things are cool, they’re empowering, but that strength is a by-product of who we’re becoming on the inside. Physical strength is a byproduct of the psychological strength. Character, determination and the real relentlessness. All of the things people want to be but don’t believe they are. The 45 minute workout is a tool in closing that gap from who you think you are and your potential. Myself and my team show you how really badass you are, and then you start to believe it too, and that’s what it’s all about.” -Devan Kline
