It is my passion and privilege to bring you this Golf/Life affirming information. Today on the Pod we have Master Instructor Justin Tang from Singapore and Mental Coach Kathy Hart Wood. Before we dive in, I want you to ask yourself IF, and during a round of Golf, do you blame things that you have no control over ? Do you let your thoughts run you ? How likely are you to have a negative reaction to a bad break ? Do you immediately blame your swing when you hit a poor shot ? How about blaming the wind ? Course conditions ? Slow play ? These are very common areas of concern and left unchecked, can cause abnormal distress that has a direct result on your overall performance and experience. These are the important areas that Justin, Kathy and I explore in this episode. We see a vast number of players, no matter what level they play at, allow themselves to fall victim to any or all of these scenarios. When we ALLOW ourselves to fall to any of these scenarios, we not only give away our power, we lose our great observational powers to correctly asses and adapt to what truly is going on during a round. We allow emotions to cloud our judgement and then the all too knowing “pity party” starts happening in our minds. When we take FULL responsibility to how we perceive ourselves and things on the Golf Course AND in life, we empower ourselves to realize our FULL potential on AND off the Golf Course ! This is the first of many exploratory conversations that Kathy, Justin and I will have. These are the deep “intangibles” that we’re diving into. When we take a strong, unbiased look at ourselves, the answers do come and perhaps, will save us from going down unnecessary Rabbit holes that we can become lost in forever….
