recently i was reminded of what my soul has known since the beginning: i am in the midst of a radical self-acceptance journey. from a really young age, we're taught to fix, change, edit, or alter what we don't like about ourselves-internally and externally. and yeah, that's an option. but here's another option that doesn't get the acknowledgment that it deserves. we could just love the fok outta ourselves. move in this world as an embodiment of shamelessness + fully integrated. we could allow the light to exist with the dark. allow the sun to exist with the rain. and the joy to exist with the grief. one cannot exist without the other. but humanity is so terrified of it's own reflection. so, we vow to ignore the universal laws that keep everything afloat- sinking deeper and deeper into illusions and systems that were created to keep us trapped. the remedy to self-rejection is simply listening and accepting all parts of yourself. the question i'm reminded of every time i feel the tiniest bit of discomfort in my being: can you sit firmly in the tension of the opposites without needing to choose one over the other and simply acknowledge both as valid, present and worthy of being seen? can you allow yourself to journey the path from fragmentation to wholeness— and love yourself unconditionally throughout this sacred process? thank you for being here, my love. ilysm. more of me on IG @planetri_
