For the majority of people with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes, the condition is completely reversible within weeks to a few months--but you cannot achieve this with prescription drugs, the conventional "cut your fat and cholesterol and eat more whole grains" diet. Instead, we 1) follow a diet that no longer raises blood sugar or insulin, then 2) address common nutrient deficiencies that allow insulin resistance (the process that drives type 2 diabetes), then 3) address the common situation of a disrupted intestinal microbiome. The end-result? Normal blood sugars, weight loss, normalization of blood pressure, reversal of fatty liver and other health benefits for the majority. Not only have I done this with thousands of people, I was a type 2 diabetic myself 25+ years ago. I now have perfect fasting blood sugars in the 80s (mg/dl) and a HbA1c of around 4.8% with NO drugs.
