‘Dark Renaissance’ historian on how Christopher Marlowe paved the way for Shakespeare

The Elizabethan playwright Christopher Marlowe is known as Shakespeare’s greatest rival. But in his new book Dark Renaissance , historian Stephen Greenblatt makes the case that Marlowe paved the way for Shakespeare.
