Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Keith Mitchell, Keegan Bradley and Shane Lowry joined the final 5 Clubs on Golf Channel program for 2025. All of the guests discussed the Golf Channel Games. McIlroy recapped his year including the Masters and what his priorities are ahead. Bradley touched on his feelings for the Ryder Cup and the aftermath and the hole it has left in his soul. Lowry touched on his Ryder Cup memories including the pressure he felt on the 18th hole as the lead was slipping away. Mitchell talked about his appreciation for the world of broadcast as he prepared for his role in the Golf Channel Games and talked about the world’s top two players. And Scheffler touched on his improved putting, the back 9 at the PGA and how the condensed PGA TOUR schedule will have to be navigated. We also announced a new event in collaboration with Landmand Golf Club called the Heartbeat and showcased our dogs of the week.

Yin talked about the importance of the LPGA sharing the stage with celebrities, how important it is for her to maintain consistency, the work done by Craig Kessler, the global events and more. Wagner recapped a lot of the year and his work as a broadcaster from recreating golf shots on TV, the way the 17th played at The Players in the playoff, calling this year’s Masters on radio, the roller coaster of the week in Augusta and in particular that Sunday, Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth and more.

Brian Katrek and John Maginnes joined the program with some Ryder Cup thoughts especially as it relates to Rory McIlroy and on Steven Fisk winning on the PGA TOUR. Country music artist George Birge talked about giving back and the crossover between golf and being an artist on the road as well as his journey and love for the game. Fisk, coming off his win at the Sanderson Farms, talked about that win and the state of his game. Justin Williams and Cam Ward of the Carolina Hurricanes who played golf with Grayson talked about him and their love for golf.

Cole Hammer joined the program this morning for his second visit to continue discussing his professional journey. Since he was last on the program he had a 54-hole lead on the Korn Ferry Tour and he dove into how that experience was in retrospect and how he was and wasn't prepared for the moment. Hammer also touched on his coach Bruce Davidson, the use of range finders, and talked about the journey of Rory McIlroy as was on the range with him as a 15-year old at Chambers Bay for the U.S. Open. We were also joined in studio by Preston Cole, Quail Hollow Club Pro, as he embarks to qualify for the 2025 PGA Championship that will be hosted by his home club in Charlotte. He talked about the experience qualifying at Valhalla last year and the support he has from everyone at the club to try to do it again this year.

We were joined today by designer Rob Collins of King Collins Dormer Golf and Tom Pashley, President of Pinehurst Resort. Collins and his team are behind the design and Landman, a course in Homer, NE that has quickly become a go-to destination for the traveling golf afficiando. He talked about how it came about, its uniqueness and the surrounding area. Pashley announced that Pinehurst No. 11, to be designed by Coore Crenshaw, will be completed by Fall of 2027 and talked about how different it will be from its newly-opened and highly-acclaimed neighbor, Pinehurst No . 10. Gary Williams opened the show with Justin Thomas' win at the RBC Heritage and closed with the heartbreak for Joel Dahmen in Punta Cana and the very sad news on the passing of Jay Sigel.

16-year old junior sensation Miles Russell and No Laying Up co-founder Chris Solomon joined the program today. Russell talked about his recent win at the Sage Valley Junior Invitational, what he learned from watching the pros while competing in a Korn Ferry Tour event last season and what the next steps are in his golf journey. Solomon doves into the player/media relations that have been under scrutiny the last couple weeks, whether plays should have to talk to the media and if the rollback steps are enough and what additional tweaks he thinks need to be made.

Zak dove into the Viktor Hovland win and Justin Thomas performance at the Valspar and been to look ahead to Augusta National and The Masters while also sharing wha the thought was most important in year two for TGL - a Dallas team with Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth. Rae talked about some of his industry inspirations from Donald Ross and Seth Rayner and talked about some of his new work at Old Sawmill and the quick turnaround he and his team will have later this year at Detroit Golf Club, home of the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Emma Carpenter was joined by her University of Minnesota golf teammate Bella McCauley and the Golden Gophers duo discussed their time together as well as the path that has led to Bella to becoming one of the top collegiate players in the country. McCauley was an accomplished junior player in the state of Minnesota and has qualified for the NCAA Tournament the last two years as an individual. After years working and learning from Tom Fazio, Welling has established his own design firm among the best in the industry. Long-time golf super agent Hughes Norton has just released a book, "Rainmaker", detailing his history with some of the big names in the history of golf. Working with IMG, and founder Mark McCormack, he was the first agent for Tiger Woods, worked with Greg Norman, and many others. The book and conversation touches on the idea of LIV before LIV that McCormack had back in the 1960's. A lot of the conversation touches on what drove Tiger and Norman in particular, their similarities and differences, and the balance an agent must play in the lives of those they represent.
