Taking an approach of "never too high, never too low", a phrase coined by TPL's former co-host, the late Rob Blanchette, the show aims to bring an element of calmness and measured analysis on what we see on and off the pitch in relation to United. Scott has the unique insight of being a fan of the club for 30 years and working in the football media scene for over a decade, and will often endeavour to bring an alternative eye and critical thinking to what's being reported. Scott Saunders reacts to Bruno Fernandes' latest explosive interview that has dropped after the draw with Bournemouth, where he has stated to Portuguese media that Manchester United wanted him to leave in summer 2025. Scott digs into the comments, how the interview came about, whether he's right or the club are, if Bruno should have been sold or kept, and a ton more. It's an emotive issue but Scott digs in to the nuance. Bruno told Canal 11, via SportWitness: âI could have left like many people do and said: âI want to leave, I donât want to train, I just want to leave for âŹ20m or âŹ30m, so they pay me more on the other side.â But I never did that. I never felt in a position to do that, because I felt that the empathy and affection I had for the club were the same. "But there comes a point where, for them, money is more important than anything. The club wanted me to go, I have that in my head. I told the directors this, but I think they didnât have the courage to make that decision. âI decided to stay, also because of family reasons, but because I genuinely like the club. The conversation with the manager also made me stay. But, from the clubâs side, I felt a bit like, âif you leave, itâs not so bad for us.â It hurts me a lot. More than hurting, it makes me sad because Iâm a player they have nothing to criticise about. Iâm always available, I always play, good or bad. I give my all.
