About this episode
EPISODE 68 - Clark, Hyung, and John kick off the show with their theories on how the fake dual autograph Topps Definitive card of Randy Arozarena and Austin Meadows actually got signed (and whether they would trade that card in for a replacement card plus a new hobby box). Then the guys get into the Hobby Headlines segment discussing the recent hobby box releases and their general thoughts on the set as well as whether it's worth the rip. The boxes reviewed include Topps Stadium Club Baseball (still majorly under appreciated?), Topps Definitive Baseball (worth the high price tag?), plus the long awaited 2021-22 Panini Prizm Basketball Set and the 2021-22 SP Authentic Hockey Set (worth the wait?). Next the guys do Round 2 of the "Overrated / Underrated" segment where they are given five types of cards (ie. Quad Color Patch Card; Non-Numbered Parallel Cards; Non-Rookie Patch Autograph Cards) and choose whether each one is overrated or underrated, and explain why. And last, the guys play "Pick One" where they name two cards or sets, and then debate which one they would rather invest in. The pairs chosen this week include: Julio Rodriguez 2019 Bowman Chrome Autograph Card (BGS 9.5) vs Wander Franco 2019 Bowman Chrome Autograph Card (BGS 9.5); Better Hockey Card Investment - Johnny Gaudreau vs. Evgeni Malkin; Cade Cunningham Panini Silver Prizm ($500) vs. Scottie Barnes Panini Silver Prizm ($400).
