About this episode
EPISODE 29 - Clark, Hyung, and John discuss off the top what they would do with F1 sports cards (in particular with Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen cards) now that the finale results are in. Plus they talk about whether it's too late to buy high-end sports cards of Stephen Curry now that he's the all-time 3-point leader. And in this week's "Hobby Headlines" segment, the guys give their take on whether it's worth the long-term investment in specific cards that are valued higher right now for very specific reasons such as "color match" cards where the color of the player's uniform matches the color of the parallel card (ie. Jayson Tatum Green Prizm rookie card). Or is it worth a premium for serial numbered cards that happen to be the jersey number of the player. Or are multi-color patch cards worth significantly more than patch cards with just one or two colors visible. Plus with Christmas around the corner, they play "Christmas Wish List" where Clark, Hyung, and John share which card they would love to have for their PC and that they would never sell. To cap off the show, they play "Pick One – Regular Edition" with each offering two sports cards, and then debating which one they'd rather invest in. The Pick One pairs in this episode are: Fernando Tatis Topps Chrome base auto (PSA 10) vs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Topps Chrome refractor auto (BGS 9.5/10); Stephen Curry Topps Chrome rookie card (PSA 10) vs. 1 Bitcoin; Luka Doncic Panini Silver Prizm (PSA 10) for $3,500 vs. Trae Young Panini Silver Prizm (PSA 10) for $1,200.
