About this episode
EPISODE 107 - Clark, Hyung, and John open the show by talking about three Netflix specials focused on three different sports, and discuss whether it would make any impact on cards associated with the niche sports. The first show is Full Swing, which follows a group of golfers on the PGA Tour including Rory McIlroy. The second is Season 5 of Drive to Survive with Max Verstappen participating in interviews this time. And finally, the show Break Point which features the next generation of tennis players looking to become number one. The guys then discuss their thoughts on the new grading fees and structures of PSA and BGS (Beckett) and if it's enough to persuaded them to send more of their cards to either of the grading companies (as well as whether BGS can make some sort of comeback and what it would take). They also talk about how SGC is running its business and commends the company in particular for their topnotch customer service. They finish the show off with the regular "Pick One" segment where each host names two cards or sets, and then debate which one they would rather invest in. The pairs chosen this week include: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Sapphire rookie card vs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Purple Refractor /250; Panini Select is more likely to take second spot from Optic vs. BGS is more likely to take second spot from SGC; Carlos Correa 2013 Bowman Chrome base autograph card vs. Ronald Acuna 2018 Bowman Chrome rookie autograph card. -------------------------------- CONNECT WITH US!
